I would like it better if the tropical beat wasn't so strong, it felt like the song could still stand by itself without this tropical house thing a la Somin's part. Probably would need more listens to get used to it.
But I do like the MV, the girls got a lot of focus! and it feels like the girls are sucking the life out of the boys, which is interesting.
Lol it actually made me laugh a little you could totally tell they were out of it during those scenes
Tho it worked in conjunction with the video cause bm/jseph gave such a dead (no pun intended) vibe that when it was revealed that they were like... dead (or zombies) it kinda made their look from before seen on purpose ha ha
I'm gonna be the party pooper I guess... I like it the least out of all their titles. Maybe it'll grow on me, but I'm still waiting for another song from them that I'll play as much as I (still) repeat Oh Na Na.
IMHO Jiwoo's part in the beginning of the chorus sounded a bit too high for her, she didn't quite reach it during the Vlive showcase. I'm afraid this might lead to shouting/screaming the high notes in performances.
But to end on a positive note, that horror twist was an awesome surprise. Also, J.Seph in a suit and tie. Too bad he's dead.
this mv was a trip lmaooo the girls SNAPPED, it was like if don't recall was taken a step further idk where this trend of dead men/killing in kpop mvs came from (maybe from the queens wg), but i'm not complaining. it started off serious but ngl i couldn't help but crack up when the plot twist was revealed somins character seemed to feel despair over the fact that bm was dead, but i feel like there were hints that jiwoo deliberately poisoned j.seph or smth. girlie seemed to know what she was doing

In some ways this is weaker than their previous releases and in others its their best yet? The mv especially really attributes to the track, it's got an intriguing story going on.
I love this MV, I was not expecting that twist but I loved it, especially going back and rewatching and paying attention to the lyrics. So good. The girls sound amazing together and they all look good, but Somin especially looks gorgeous.
tbh I don't even remember the song because I was so focused on reading along with the lyrics and watching the MV. I didn't see that plot twist coming, it kinda scared me when their faces turned all corpse-y lol. I love the suits and those couple scenes were endearingly awkward.

I don't get the whining about trop house tbh. if they keep releasing bops like this I don't even care if they stick with this sound, it just depends on the execution. The more experimental stuff on their album sounded good, too, so I hope they go outside their comfort zone with a title track eventually. But it's still early and I'm not tired of this yet, I'm so into this song.
