Wheesung is finally making his much awaited return to the music scene.
Talented vocalist Wheesung will release his mini album “The Best Man” on May 12. This is his first release in two years and seven months, after he released “The Guys Are Coming” in October of 2011.
Including the title track “Night and Day,” the mini album will consist of seven new songs including “I Like The Song,” “Lying Beside You,” “A Masterpiece Called You,”, “I Don’t Want To Know,” and “I Need To Make Money.”
On top of producing and composing the album, he penned all the lyrics in the album as well. Celebrated composers like Kim Do Hoon, Lee Sang Ho and Moon Ji Young have contributed to the mini.
This new original release from Wheesung is gathering a lot of buzz as he previously put his old hits on the top of music charts by appearing on JTBC‘s “Hidden Singer” at the end of last year.

so excited! what's your fave wheesung track- either one he sang or wrote/produced for someone else? there are too many for me, but I will always love"네 심장이 쉬는 날", and am currently feeling "Shut Up" by Ailee and that new song with K.Will and that new girl group (but I don't think he composed it).

The teaser posters and trailer for upcoming movie “For the Emperor” have been released.
Expectations are rising for the Lee Min Ki-Park Sung Woong duo in the soon-to-be released film “For the Emperor,” which is the latest work of production company Opus Pictures – the makers of “The Man From Nowhere” and “Snowpiercer.”
Released on May 2, the black and white teaser posters display the actors’ powerful and intense presence. Lee Min Ki’s explosive energy and Park Sung Woong’s calm yet sharp expression show their own distinctive charismatic appeal.
In the film, Lee Min Ki’s character, Lee Hwan lives a pitiful life while Park Sung Woong’s character, Sang Ha leads Busan’s greatest bonds organization, “Imperial Capital.” Actress Lee Tae Im will be playing the lead female as a sexy and seductive CEO. Moviegoers’ curiosity is increasing as the trailer hints at an intense and compelling storyline about two men who must win in order to survive, as they dream of becoming “emperors” in a world of gambling and betting.

movie doesn't look that great, tbh, but lmk looks great...so there's that....

With the Sewol ferry disaster on April 16, many popular singers are bound to lose hundreds of millions of won as May’s festival season at various Korean universities and enterprises has been cancelled.
In Korea, May is the month of festivals not only for universities and colleges but also for enterprises. Many singers earn revenue from these festivals for performing, but due to the lingering sombreness following the tragedy, no festivals will be held this year. Top singers are looking at losing ₩500million to ₩1 billion in revenues. Some popular singers and groups usually have more than 30 scheduled performances in May. As a result, some small agencies might be affected quite drastically, since they rely much more on May’s profits to sustain themselves.
Despite this foreseeable hardship in May, many singers are busy voluntarily participating in charity and fundraising events for the Sewol ferry’s incident. Although many affiliated members understand that festivals could be delayed, they find it confusing and frustrating that all of them are permanently cancelled this year. What are your thoughts on this?

They fight for justice, and we cheer. They slash out in anger, and we cringe. From The Women to The Help, and from Carrie to Lady Vengeance, we honor a dozen movies that brandish female fury
The box office winner this past weekend was The Other Woman, a comic valentine of vindication for three women (Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton) against the weaselly entrepreneur (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) who cheated on all of them. Earning $24.8 million at North American theaters, it unseated three-time champ Captain America: The Winter Soldier and gave audiences a respite from Marvel superheroes until The Amazing Spider-Man 2 lands on Friday.
And though The Other Woman is no film for the ages, it does tap an age-old tradition of movies about women enraged by their sorry status, taking revenge on those who wronged them. It’s a story as old as the Greeks’ Medea and as modern as any YA novel-turned-film, whether The Twilight Saga, The Hunger Games or Divergent. We present a dozen movies, from Hollywood, France and South Korea, that treat the vengeful-woman theme with fondness or dread, as comedy, melodrama or stark tragedy. You’ll think of other films, too.
