It feels weird to not be completely flipping out excited over this because he's my UB and I've been waiting for this announcement all year, but with everything he's hinted about not renewing + this title sounding like it's just going to be more re-recordings of his Japanese songs I'm feeling pretty blah about it. :( Waiting on more details lol the first date on the schedule is my birthday. OP ur icon is beautiful

lmao aww I'm sorry, it's just been in the back of my mind ever since these teasers started coming out. I think he said recently that he's still evaluating what to do so who knows. :/ I always trust his music anyway so I know I have nothing to worry about concerning quality, I just want him to flourish and have all the success and artistic freedom he deserves.

He started tweeting a bunch of things in English in the middle of the night before his flight to Hong Kong for a performance, I think... last month?, talking about how he knows fans really want new material from him and he's recorded new songs but he can't do what he wants to do in JYPE (before all of this he had already teased a blurred out rough tracklist of twelve songs which doesn't seem like it's this album, a mini is obviously too short :/). In Korean, IIRC he said he was making a decision for the sake of his fans and his music (?) and apologized. He deleted each of these seconds after he tweeted them so he was probably doing it to communicate his situation to fans without attracting attention or ending up in the news.




I don't want to jump to conclusions but this isn't the first time he's said he doesn't feel like JYPE is understanding of him as an artist, so I get the vibe that this EP doesn't represent his complete vision but is just another compromise with the company while they still have him under their roof. But I hope I'm wrong and he'll get to fully show his creativity through this release before he enlists.
