T.O.P's movie 'Alumni' is finally confirmed for a November release!
T.O.P actually finished filming the movie in January, and even though there were bumps along the road, 'Alumni' safely finished and is now confirmed to hit theatres this November. The movie is T.O.P's first big-screen role as the main character.

JYJ's Jaejoong will be joining the star-studded list of October comebacks!
C-JeS Entertainment confirmed, "We are planning to release Jaejoong's first full solo album at the end of October. You saw Jaejoong as a rocker in January with his mini album. But his first full album will show off his various charms as a vocalist."

In July of this year, an American company (Wazego Collective) attempted to kickstart an American remake of the hit Kdrama Boys Over Flowers. The Kickstarter campaign however, only raised $1,252 USD out of a goal of 100,000. Pretty slim pickings...
At the time, i assumed that this meant an end to the project. Three months later, I found out that not only was i wrong, but that they have had several new developments.
Firstly, the producers of the project is no longer Wazego Collective. Taking over the role is WillKinn Media.
Secondly, this isn't a project done by a few teenage fans of the Kdrama. When we reached out to them, they wanted to clarify that point. They asked us to post this statement as well:

As we announced yesterday, we have been given the opportunity by WillKinn Media (the company behind the Boys Over Flowers American adaptation) to exclusively release the names of the cast that have been chosen to play in this upcoming series. Just a quick note, the actress playing Makino (Geum Jan Di in Korean version) has NOT been picked yet, that's why she's not included below. So let's get started:

Ellison University is a school that caters to the children from families who are rich, famous, high-society or all of the above. Every year, they hold auditions to accept students who are super talented in different areas and give them a full scholarship to attend the University.
Zoey, a dancer, gets accepted and on her first day, discovers that the school is ruled by a group known as the F4. The members of the F4 come from the most powerful families in the United States and they abuse their power through bullying. Zoey eventually confronts the group after a particularly harsh act and gets on their bad side. The leader of the F4 eventually falls in love with Zoey creating a complicated set of circumstances that creates a classic story that has captured the attention of 23 different countries.

SBS is planning a new variety program called 'Fashion King Korea,' which will be a fashion contest among celebrities and they've recruited some highly fashionable names.
According to representatives of SBS on September 23, eight celebrities will team up with expert fashion designers to plan, design, and create fashion items that will compete on 'Fashion King Korea.'
Girls' Generation's Tiffany, SISTAR's Bora, Yoon Gun, Lee Ji Hoon, Kim Na Young, Boom, Lim Dong Wook, and Choo Mi Rim will be participating as fixed members of the show. They are expected to begin regular filming on October 2 while the premiere will air on November 17.
At present, they have already filmed the first meeting and the division into separate teams between the stars and designers back on September 11. The contest will be screened by 100 fashion specialists.
Stay tuned for more news on 'Fashion King Korea,' which will allow you to see your favorite celebrities battle it out to see who has the best fashion sense!

Jay Park Announces New Label, AOMG

Jay Park is continuing to grow and branch out as he takes on the challenge of establishing an independent label, ‘AOMG’.
This doesn’t mean he’s leaving SidusHQ (iHQ). He’ll still be managed by them but at the same time, he’ll be branching into various areas of music as well as helping uncover the talents of hoobaes through hip hop label ‘AOMG’, which stands for ‘Above Ordinary Music Group’.
Aside from Jay, ‘AOMG’ is currently made up of Jun Goon, who has participated in albums of well-known names like Wheesung and Taeyang, as well as Gray, who has featured in the songs of hip hop names like Zion.T and Swings. Another key player in the new label is Cha Cha Malone of Jay’s dance crew AOM, who has worked on several songs with Jay.
In addition to his activities as part of ‘AOMG’, Jay is also working on reaching out to fans through an upcoming nation-wide tour, so fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming months!

Secret's main vocal Song Jieun released the teaser image for her first solo single album 'Torturous Hope,' heightening the fans' anticipation.
On September 24th, the teaser image was revealed to the public to preview Song Jieun's comeback as a soloist after a long absence of two years. In 2011, she collaborated with B.A.P's Bang Yongguk in 'Going Crazy,' which reached #1 on music sites and dominated realtime charts, leaving a strong impression.
While promoting 'Going Crazy,' Song Jieun garnered much interest as a next generation diva for her strong singing abilities and her abilities to enact her powerful concept. News of Song Jieun's solo comeback this fall with a deep emotional ballad has set off a wave of excitement.
In the released teaser image, Song Jieun's natural waves of long black hair and both hands covering her face with a white knit create an exquisite contrast that catches the eyes.
Furthermore, Song Jieun demonstrates a clear femininity with a gaze that has become one level more mature and emits a sadness. Specifically, the pain in her eyes tells of the scars from the 'Torturous Hope' of the song's title, establishing Song Jieun's place as a solo vocalist apart from the bright and fresh image of Song Jieun as member of the girl group Secret.
This coming 30th, Song Jieun's first solo single album will be released and this week, Song Jieun will reveal 'Torturous Hope' through music programs.
Translator's Note: "희망고문" literally translates to "Hope Torture" and it is the pain of still having hope even when you know that it's not going to work. The music video teaser will be released on the 25th, music program promotions will begin on the 26th, and the album will be released on the 30th.

The person who first spread false rumors about IU from marriage to pregnancy has been caught.
On September 23, Loen Entertainment’s music PD, Cho Young Chul, tweeted at 10:43 AM announcing the news.
He wrote, “Hidden as a chirashi (anonymous groups of gossipers), the person, who first spread false rumors about IU’s marriage, has been arrested by prosecutors and confessed of his crimes.”
“The person is also being investigated for malicious comments,” said Cho Young Chul. “If there are any other people who are defaming our artists, we will be taking strong actions against it.”
In past May, IU was hit hard with rumors of marriage and pregnancy through Chirashi. IU even addressed the rumors on one variety program, saying, “On the day I heard those rumors about my marriage and pregnancy, I was supposed to attend a movie premiere for Lee Hyun Woo. Because of the rumors, my agency stopped me from going to the screening, and I became so mad that I couldn’t go watch the movie because of these rumors. I told my agency that I won’t go to the screening, but they must find the person who spread them first.”
Attending to her request, Loen Entertainment showed firm determination to take action, and after four months, the person was caught.
It appears that this incident will be a warning to anonymous internet users who have been leaving negative comments.
