the company also houses daniel henney. if seohyun does establish a one person agency, that's 2/3 who can continue to promote with snsd if sm allows it. it's smart for sooyoung's new company to say this cuz now the blame will be on sm if snsd doesn't get to promote together again (not that sm has ever cared about what the fans want or think)

at this point, making the gesture is important for all of them to still have fan support and public approval for their solo careers so it could all end up being lip service. i'm still skeptical of how production cost or revenue sharing (if any) would work for this kind of deal.

it's also making me eyeroll a bit because of the jessica situation, but i'm happy for sooyoung and glad that the agency is looking out for her as OP said.

It's good to hear that these companies are willing to collaborate with SM to acheive some kind of balance IF SNSD decides to continue with anything at all.

Seohyun and her are clever to leave the door open like that for now. It will be hard for SM to shun them down after this kind of statement. I don't see SNSD having another big scale comeback, but I'm starting to think that singles here and there to keep the fans involved in their own careers could work (and maybe one day we'll get an album like S.E.S gave us).

Good luck to Sooyoung! She deserves a company that doesn't half-ass anything about her.

I think most of the snsd girls could probably get by in a basic English conversation tbh, we just rarely got to see them do it bc Tiff or Jess were usually about. I feel like Sooyoung is maybe in the top three of the non-native speakers in snsd.

Well she's not bilingual but she's confortable and seems to know how to express herself. For exemple, when snsd introduce themselves in English the other members' speech sounds like it was learned by heart but it's not Sooyoung's case.
