SNSD Clothing for Charity

A lot of Korean artists are giving various items for charity. Popular girl group Girls' Generation / SNSD are joining in on this giving as the clothing from their Chocolate Love MV was put up for auction on October 23rd. All proceeds from the auction are to be donated to needy children around the world.

The auction recently ended and here's how much the dresses were auctioned off for:

Regular Dresses:
YoonA: 8,061,000 won (around $6800)
Tiffany: 7,010,000 won (around $5900)
Taeyeon: 6,470,000 won (around $5500)
Jessica: 5,981,000 won (around $5000)
Seohyun: 2,370,000 won (around $2000)
Yuri: 1,701,000 won (around $1400)
Sunny: 1,481,000 won (around $1250)
Sooyoung: 718,000 won (around $600)
Hyoyeon: 621,000 won (around $520)

For the 2 piece white outfit:
Jessica: 3,120,000 won (around $2600)
Tiffany: 2,700,000 won (around $2300)
Yuri: 2,190,000 won (around $1800)
Taeyeon: 1,730,000 won (around $1500)

Hello, fans who love Xing.
We have a new announcement that we wanted to share with our fans first.
We will have a change to the group.
Like the previous Xing groups, we will have the members go into two new separate groups.
First of all, of the 7 members, 5 (White, Husky, Soul, Rising, and Kipalang) are getting ready for a new concept.
We will tell the fans first when the plans are fully determined (members' concept, members' visual, song)
The new talented members will capture your curiosity.
When the new 5 member group Xing's faces get revealed, we hope many will have interest.

2PM As 6 Members In The Advertising World

2PM is 6? 7? Advertisers also worry

The 6 member 2PM without their leader Park Jaebum, has officially started their activities.
On the 3rd, they have opened the teaser site and revealed the song 'Tired of Waiting' through online music sites.
By the 4th, the song had reached #1 in various online music charts. The plan of JYPE is that they will release the album mid November and is starting promotion activities. The 2PM teaser site countdown has restarted and will end on the 5th.

Even with the fans' resistance to 2PM without Jaebum, the album promotion is going fairly successfully. However, there are many unsolved problems as well.

Boycotts and no-show: MAMA off to a bad start?

Mnet announced a new annual music event Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) and also this year’s nominees list on 23rd October (see more).

Already after the release of the nominee list, many netizens are unhappy about the nominee list and how nominees are chosen for each category. Following that, MAMA continues to fall under criticism with trot singers Park Hyun Bin and Jang Yoon Jung revealing that they will boycott the event. (article)

And today, 2 news came up revealing that SM Ent will also be boycotting the event, and DSP also revealed that SS501 and possibly even KARA will not be attending the event.

FT.triple Reveals Their Hidden Talent

“We’re just like an egg of FT Island. We will do our best to become the framework of FT Island.”

An interview was conducted with members of FT Island’s sub-unit group, FT.triple, consisting of Lee Jaejin, Choi Minhwan and Choi Jonghoon. They started the interview by revealing the resolution of the band. The 3 members are currently doing promotions for their “Two Date” album, which is part of the “Double Date” 2CD album that was released earlier on 26th October. FT Island’s vocal Lee Hongki is currently filming the drama “You’re Beautiful“, while member Song Seunghyun is active in various variety programmes. FT.triple revealed to Sports Donga on the day following the release of their album that, “Don’t think of us as a separate group of FT Island. Think of us as an extension group instead.”

The biggest difference between FT Island and FT.triple is the vocal. Lee Jaejin, who has been playing the bass all along, will be holding the vocal position in FT.triple. He will also be the main vocal of FT Island until Lee Hongki returns to the band after his drama filming. Thereafter, he will return to his original bass position. He also made lots of improvement in his vocal abilities after participating in the musical “Sonagi“.

MBLAQ Mnet "Art of Seduction" Documentary Preview

In response to this post which titled "MBLAQ to star & seduce in new reality show?", MBLAQ will be up as challengers on Mnet ‘The Art Of Seduction’, a reality program.

In the episode of the show to be aired on 4th November, the boys were given the mission to invite from production team to respected stars to social celebrities for their fanmeeting.

And amongst the mission, Thunder was seen in long hair transforming as his sister 2NE1 Sandara Park. He had then worn on a long hair wig for SeungHo who was practising card magic so as to meet top star Jeon JiHyun. The appearance of him in long hair resembled his elder sister much.

Leeteuk's sister to make acting debut

It seems like we can add another pair of entertainers to the list of sibling celebs, because SuJu leader Leeteuk's older sister, Park In Young, has announced her movie acting debut.

For those of you who think that she's a familiar face, you're right - she was on MBC's "Introducing The Friends of Stars - Stars' Family Special" last January with her younger brother, and she received the title of "ulzzang"; she also had the lead role for the hit Korean musical, "New Boing Boing" (뉴보잉보잉).

For her debut, noona Park In Young has been casted for the movie "Balloon", which An Chul-Ho will be directing. She will be playing the role of Saemi, who is a woman in her 20s experiencing her first love.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm definitely happy about news about a new actress debuting for a change. Keep checking back to Allkpop for more updates, and best wishes to Park In Young on her big-screen debut!
