From 2009, Mnet annual music event MKMF will be changed to Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA).

A live program took place on 23rd October in Seoul Tower and the idea of the new music awards ceremony was revealed. Previously on 16th October, the note “This year there will be no MKMF’ was posted on Mnet’s official homepage, the change of the music ceremony was to give it a new transformation as mentioned by Mnet.

Lee Minho, Kim Bum and Goo Hye Sun were in attendance on the 21st to watch Kim Joon's musical, Youthful March which was having it's last show.

Kim Joon had been acting in the musical for the past three months since July and his BOF friends specially made a trip down to watch him in action despite their relatively busy individual schedules.

Kimchi Ninja takes over Times Square billboard

A billboard of Rain's new film "Ninja Assassin" has been hung in New York's Times Square, making him the first Korean to appear on the board for a movie, according to his agency on Friday.

Only Korean companies such as Samsung or LG have been able to advertise themselves in Times Square before.

J.Tune Entertainment said that the billboard -- almost 18 meters wide by 12 meters high -- was hung above smaller billboards for some of Broadway's most famed musicals including "West Side Story" and "Chicago".

The agency said they were informed of the billboard by a Korean residing in New York and received many congratulatory messages on his blog and website.

Rain played the lead role Raizo in the action flick by the Wachowski Brothers, famous for "The Matrix" triology and producer Joel Silver, who created the "Die Hard" and "Lethal Weapon" series.

The film, hyped as one of the 50 most anticipated films of the year by U.K. newspaper The Times and one of the top 10 movies selected by the San Francisco Examiner, is set for a worldwide release on October 26.

All 5 members of SS501 to appear on SBS ‘Strong Heart’

Coming back with their new minialbum ‘Rebirth’, all 5 members of SS501 will appear on SBS variety talk show ‘Strong Heart’.

Coming 5th November, they will be participating for the filming of the variety program in SBS GongGae Hall.

The meaning to this filming session is special because all 5 members will be on the show together, while all this while it has been hard to see all 5 members together on one variety show.

A staff to ‘Strong Heart’ revealed recently, “SS501 will appear on the show as full team. Please look forward to new stories revealed as all members appear on the show.”

Meanwhile, SS501 will be promoting their comeback title song ‘Love Like This’.

SHINee's Key Praises Hoobae f(x) Affectionately.

SHINee member Key has revealed through an interview conducted with TV Daily on the 23rd at a hotel in Apgujeong about his close relationships with members of f(x) since their trainee days.

When asked about the video taken in the waiting room of the Dream Concert where he affectionately praised them, Key said "When I was still a trainee, I was already very close to the members of f(x). We will confide with each other our troubles."

As such SHINee's leader Onew said with a laugh: "The members [of f(x)] all calls Key as their oppa."

Key said: "Even though I am close to all the members of f(x), but with Suli, we are like siblings, having gone though the very difficult phrase of being a trainee together and thus became a form of support for each other."

SHINee's Jonghyun said: "When Key converses with f(x) member Amber in English, he will always mix up his nationality." With that, everyone started laughing. Key and Amber often joke around, sometimes smiling and laughing like kids.

On another note, Key's favourite song in their 3rd Mini Album is "Jo Jo". "Composer Kenzie's style is that of a European dance, the roller and retro style of song is not only appealing to teens but also reaches out to people of other age groups. We hope to receive more love with this."

The group Beast were in a car accident. After performing at the live music broadcasting show, MBC "Show Music Core," the accident happened when they were going back to their practice room.

The Cube Entertainment states that "It was a light accident and thankfully there wasn't any injuries among the members."

Iris bed scene too hot for broadcast television

If you’re following KBS’s spy drama Iris, you’ll know that the romance between main characters played by Lee Byung-heon and Kim Tae-hee, who are fellow spies for the NSS, has been heating up. In particular, this week’s Episode 3 featured a love scene between them, and with spoilers teasing the big moment ahead of time, interest leading up to the episode was high. However, apparently what was shown in the broadcast was not the entirety of what was originally intended. There were concerns for the appropriateness of the content given the drama’s age-15-and-up rating, so in the end parts were edited out.

Fans will get a chance to see the full uncut version, however, albeit on cable. The channel OCN, which has the exclusive rights to re-air the episodes, will feature the scene with additional footage. The moment comes when the two spies steal away to Japan for a low-key vacation together to keep away from the eyes of their colleagues.

OCN will rebroadcast Episodes 3 and 4 on October 24.
