Brown Eyed Girl’s Ga-In Getting “Married”

It was revealed today that Brown Eyed Girls member, Son Ga-In, will become part of the make-believe marriage variety show, We Got Married. The current couples on the show include Hwang Jung Eum - Kim Young Joon, UEE - Park Jae Jung and another couple (scroll below).

A preview of Ga-In meeting her make-believe husband was aired on September 26 although his identity remains a mystery. Even though the make-believe husband will only be revealed next week, this new development in We Got Married has got everyone very excited about who the make-believe husband will be, particularly as Ga-In has gained a huge following after the Abracadabra promotions with Brown Eyed Girls.

WonderGirls SoHee and YooBin back in Korea temporarily

WonderGirls members YooBin and SoHee will back temporarily in Korea from America.

JYP Entertainment revealed through a phone interview on 26th September, “SoHee and YooBin have returned to Korea on 25th September. The 2 of them are back on personal reasons. They will be sending time with their family this ChuSeok (mid Autumn). They should be returning to America by mid week next week not their schedule has yet been confirmed.”

Also, it was known that the girls met up with other singers from the company after so long at the company’s office in CheongDamDong. Selca photos taken between YooBin and 2AM member SeulOng was also revealed.

Meanwhile, the girls are preparing for the release of their new album in America after releasing their debut digital single ‘Nobody’ in June.

Girl groups to get together for a TV show

Korea's top six girl groups will get together to appear on an MBC-TV entertainment program specially arranged to celebrate the coming "Chuseok" holiday (Korean Thanksgiving Day), a news report said.

According to the report, the television network will air the special program titled "Dalcomhan Girl" (Sweet Girl), which will feature a total of 27 girl singers from six female idol groups.

The six girl groups are Girls' Generation, Brown Eyed Girls, After School, Kara, 4Minute, and T-ara. Wonder Girls, who are currently in the United States, are expected to make a surprise appearance through video footage.

"Dalcomhan Girl" is a reality program that covers the golden age of girl groups in Korea now. The participants will take a city bus and visit an exotic place, competing to become a winner.

Noh Hong-cheol, Jeong Hyeong-don, and Gil of the popular TV show "Moohan Dojeon" (Infinite Challenge) are to host the feature show. The show will be aired at 06:15 p.m. on Oct. 2.

Interesting episode of Champagne with girl groups

The September 26th episode of Champagne was a girl group special with groups like Kara, Brown Eyed Girls, After School, and 4minute.

BEG's Ga-In revealed that she was a 1987-er and said,"It's unfair, all my unnies are aged, so it looks like I am old too."

Narsha, who is a 1983-er said, "I'm not sorry, aging is the same. In fact, sitting here is uncomfortable. I'm a name tag idol," which caused laughter in the audience.

Ga-In also said, "Because I'm the magnae of the group, I want to really be the leader." She confessed, "I want to be 4minute's leader and mess with the dongsaengs."

On another topic, the girls participated in the 'Ideal Guy World Cup' and chose between 16 male idols. The girls first chose between G-Dragon and TOP and chose G-Dragon as their ideal guy. Kara's Han Seungyeon said, "G-Dragon is really cute and has a charming innocent look when he smiles." On the other hand, After School's SoYoung said, "He is a high school hoobae(junior). I've seen him since he was in high school and he doesn't give me the feeling of a man."

Super Junior M, topped Taiwan's music chart on their first week

Taiwan's famous music site G-Music has released a weekly music chart compiled from September 18th - 24th where SJ-M ranked #1. SJ-M released their mini album on September 23rd which is just one day before the end of chart compilation's period.

Due to this explosive reaction, Chinese fans said that they are proud of SJ and they like the song so much.

On October 3rd SJ M will appear on CCTV Chuseok Special, on October 6th they will participate on 2009 Korea-China Song Festival in Qingdao, and will participate in another promotional activities.

[The Times] The national girl group SNSD (from SM Entertainment) has been chosen to be the new face of SamYang Ramyun.

The marketing team leader, Seo Jinwoo, of SamYang Foods said, "For the new advertisements in 2009, we chose SNSD as the new models because they were pure and lively, so that they can seem like everybody's friend, rather than having them just to target the teens and 20-somethings." He also explained the reason for casting them by saying, "Not only did SNSD particularly have a gorgeous image on a variety of programs, but their exciting image and the way they communicate by just looking at each other shows the sincerity of their friendships. This went well with the SamYang Ramyun's concept."

SamYang Ramyun is filming their CF this time with the concept, "Friendly Ramyun, Samyang Ramyun," with the SNSD members showing that SamYang Ramyun can fill their boredom by dancing happily to the "SimmerSimmer" song.

More importantly, SNSD sings the song "SimmerSimmer" in the CF, making the lyrics for CM song easy and fun for people to follow along. While they sing, they will boil the ramyun and do eating actions to the song. SNSD's dance is expected to capture the viewers' attentions through their cute and lively charisma.

There is talk that SNSD spent an entire day filming while not showing a hint of being tired, and livening up the mood in the set with their bright and cheerful image from start to finish. It wasn't until a little later than 4 in the morning that trial shoots begun, but the all the members ate the ramyun with very real expressions.

SNSD's new ad campaign with SamYang Ramyun, "Friendly Ramyun, Samyang Ramyun" is to air in the beginning of October.

Dirty Eyed Girls... Again?

 And just when you thought the craze was over...


If you recall, the boys of 2AM and 2PM parodied the Brown Eyed Girls as the Dirty Eyed Girls in the summer with a very bromantic music video of them at a sauna.

Well it seems it didn't end there when one male contestant came out on Star King parodying the Dirty Eyed Girls. Along with the contestant, 2AM's Seulong and the king of ssanti, Jo Kwon, came out to shake their hips as well. 

It seems like their milkshake is damn right better than yours because it brought the boys to the yard; specifically Alex of Clazziquai and Star King MC Kang Ho Dong. It's quite surprising how well Alex was able to move his hips...very interesting...and our favorite MC gave in after peer pressure took effect; resulting in one of the most hilarious and rigid dance movements I have ever seen.

GaIn and JoKwon to join ‘We Got Married’ for ChuSeok Special

MBC ‘We Got Married’ will have 2 new couples added to the show for Chuseok special.

According to the preview episode revealed on 26th September, the new couples will have their first meeting. SG Wannabe Lee SeokHoon and Kim NaYoung will meet again 1 month after their train vacation. Also there, the other new couple will be Brown Eyed Girls GaIn and 2AM member JoKwon. Originally, GaIn’s make-believe husband was 2PM Nich Khun but Jo Kwon was confirmed on the show instead.

The production team revealed on 28th September, “We have not decided to have the new couples stay permanently on the show or just appear on the ChuSeok special of the show.”

Boa's New Haircut + New Japanese Single Previews

BoA fans may have noticed the pint-sized singer rocking a shorter hairstyle on the cover of her latest Japanese single “Bump Bump!” Well, if you were wondering if the chop was real or not rest assured, it is!

The singer showed up at the Tokyo Game Show 2009, sporting a shorter ‘do, confirming that she had indeed cut her trademark long locks in favor of a shorter style. BoA has had shorter styles for MVs the past (remember “Eien“), but she has never really cut her hair to achieve the look.
According to the singer, the shorter style was her idea. She had it cut because she wanted a change.

In other BoA news, the singer recently appeared at the Tokyo Game Show 2009 to perform her next Japanese single “White Wishes“. Why? Well, because it has been chosen as the theme song for Wii game “Tales of Graces“.

BoA's 28th Japanese single Bump Bump! will be released on October 28th.
