Rain reveals his new Boy Band MBLAQ!

Rain finally reveals his newest and first creation, 5-member boy band MBLAQ through NYLON magazine!
Odd way of introducing the group, but Rain makes odd decisions all the time, so it's not too surprising.
Anyway, Rain's company J.Tune Entertainment stated:
"5-member group MBLAQ, who was directly produced by Rain, will be featured and introduced for the first time though the October publication of fashion magazine NYLON."
J.Tune Entertainment also stated:
"Because of Rain's transformation into a producer and this being his first creation of a group, many are showing interest. We are already receiving inquiries for fanclubs."
MBLAQ pronounced M Black, will release their first single in October.

ABS-CBN has recently released copies of their annual publication, Star Magic Catalogue 2010 which showcases over 300 artistes laid out on 150 pages.
There was a surprise though for fans of Sandara Park, or more affectionately known as Krung-Krung to her fans in the Philippines who still look out for her.
No idea when this was taken or why Sandara is included in this catalouge since she's now under YG Entertainment and doing well as part of 2NE1. But it might be because because she still has ties with ABS-CBN, having debuted in their Star Circle Quest program in 2004. Anyway, she looks beautiful and stunning in this single page spread.

Big Bang and So Nyuh Shi Dae took the first places for the category of "singers" in an entertainer popularity ranking for the second half of the year.
From the 25th to the 31st of August, the results for the "Entertainer Popularity Survey" were determined by the Leespiar Research Institute with the participation of 1,320 males and females with an age range of 13~65 in 5 cities from around the country (metropolitan area, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon).

Seotaeji selling most albums in 2009

Top rock artist Seotaeji has sold the most albums so far this year, according to his agency on Friday.
The singer, songwriter and musician topped music website Hanteo Chart's listing as having sold the most albums between January 1 and September 16, Seotaeji Company said in a press release.
The singer's sales, composed of two singles and a full album this year, surpassed that of top idol groups such as Girls' Generation and Big Bang which followed in second and third place, respectively.

Police have finished looking into closed circuit television footage they obtained of a fight boy band Super Junior member Kang-in was involved in two days ago, according to an official.
"The results are out but we cannot give you the exact details yet since the investigation is still in process," senior police official Gwak Jeong-ki at Gangnam Police Station told Asia Economic Daily over the phone on Friday.
"We will make an official statement soon though," he added.

Korean pop sensation Rain's agency J.Tune Entertainment issued a statement on Thursday, saying it will take strong measures against a lawsuit filed against its company.
La Cle Creative had submitted a lawsuit to the Seoul Central District Court on Wednesday, seeking over USD 830,000 for losses incurred by J.Tune which "failed to faithfully carry out its terms of contract regarding joint business deals and investment in Rain's showcase last year."
"We do not know for what reason they say they suffered losses to such an extent but we will hire an attorney and take strong action," J.Tune said in the statement.

Dae-sung, member of popular boy band Big Bang, will not be able to perform at the Asia Song Festival (ASF) this weekend, according to his agency on Friday.
The 20-year-old singer has not appeared on television since undergoing surgery in mid-August after fracturing his nose and orbital bones in a car accident while on his way back to Seoul from Gyeonggi Province after shooting SBS' TV show "Family Outing".
"He has almost fully recovered but we decided he is not ready to go on stage yet," an official at YG Entertainment told Asia Economic Daily over the phone.

Their new album, Mad Scientist & Sweet Monsters, just came out on the 15th and now they have a brand new MV to go along with it. I guess they've been around in the underground scene for a while, but this is their official debut.

Top K-pop groups SHINee and KARA, and Ryan from the boy band Paran appeared in an event Wednesday organized by Thai Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya ― the eldest daughter of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
The Korean stars performed in the opening gala show of the Thailand Entertainment Expo 2009, Siam. They also greeted the princess and delivered gifts from Korea, including DVDs of the popular TV soap "Boys Over Flowers" and local movies, Yonhap News reported Thursday.

Although Kangin headed over to Hong Kong for Super Junior's Super Show 2 concert, it has just been confirmed that he will not attend the 2009 Asia Song Festival.
SM Entertainment stated to Newsen on the 18th:
"Kangin will not be attending the Asia Song Festival. Although Kangin will not attend, the rest of the Super Junior members will continue on as planned and perform on stage."
Kangin will be returning to Korea immediately after the Super Show 2 concert is over. In addition, Hwang Jung Eum and Kim Yong Joon will be replacing Kangin for the Andre Kim fashion show.
Kangin who is currently under investigation for a recent assault case, which occurred at a bar in Seoul on September 16th, 2009, is still claiming innocence. Details from the CCTV footage from the night of the fight was supposed to be released today, however, it has been delayed as police have now hired experts to analyze the footage due to it being dark and difficult to view.

It has been known that YG Entertainment has been boycotted by KBS 2FM. The radio station will boycott all appearances by YG singers.
This was sparked off by a sudden no-show by GDragon on Sukira on 15th September, and KBS 2FM had refused to play any YG singers’ song on the station for the whole of that day.
And it was questioned if the dispute between the YG Ent and KBS 2FM was due to GDragon mentioning f(x) Sulli in his earlier radio show appearance.

This is not finalized (so take with a grain of salt), but Jeon Ji-hyun’s potential drama comeback just may come in the Korean adaptation of Japanese manga Absolute Boyfriend, aka Zettai Kareshi. The kdrama will be directed by PD Kim Min-shik of Queen of Housewives and Before and After: Plastic Surgery.
Jeon Ji-hyun is currently busy surveying projects to finalize her decision, and the Zettai remake is reportedly a strong contender. (It had considered casting U-Know Yunho at one point, who moved on to Heading to the Ground instead.) A source with the production said, “We understand that for a long while, Jeon Ji-hyun has been carefully preparing to take a role in a Korean drama. We are working out the details of her casting, and hope for a positive result.”

It's well known that TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki's Jaejoong is very popular with the ladies in Japan. Despite not being Japanese, he was in the top 10 ranking for the "Top 10 Artists You Want As Your Lover" poll and also awarded "The Top Prince in Japan." Now, he can add another title as one of Japan's most best looking artists.
On CDShop's Tsutaya Online there was a poll with the title "Most attractive Male Singer," Jaejoong came in second place with 23.9% (632,202) votes, only trailing Hotaka Yamashita (Ikimono Gakari) with 30.7% (810658) votes. Jaejoong wasn't the only TVXQ member with votes as his fellow bandmates were respectively ranked as well: Micky Yoochun at #11, Xiah Junsu at #27, Changmin at #32, and Yunho at #34. Surprisingly, another Korean artist was in the ranking as well and that was T.O.P. of Big Bang who came in at #35.

It seems that Kangin and his friend were drinking in the bar when two other guests who couldn't find their room came in and there was a dispute between them. However, after Kangin came out of the bar, those two had followed him and started a fight. There was a passerby who said that he tried to stop the fight, thus being dragged into this case.
- The police said the friend who drank with Kangin isn't involved in this case because the fight happened outside the bar after they had drunk. They also said no one was dead-drunk when the fight happened and no one is seriously hurt.
- Besides, the police said that in the middle of the fight, there were 2 more people who had joined in....Kangin said that he doesn't know these people but the police are investigating about them so they can't say anything yet.

Mods, I haven't seen anywhere on lj that has anything related to an actual police report (I've checked the main community, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], and there were no updates on the issue). It may not come across as much if you read it, but the fact that it states that Kangin didn't start the fight alone is newsworthy enough. Since many people have wondered whether Kangin sparked the brawl, this simply notifies and reassures others that he, in fact, did not. There are also other informative things that happened during the assault other than that, too. Some of the omona members also don't know that the official statement won't come out into the public until September 21.
If you were referring to this, it doesn't say anything but that the police have the results and have yet to release them (basically echoing what has already been said). This interview is of the police briefly going through the details, but yes; it isn't the official statement. What I am submitting is entirely different from the previous article and actually contains new news that many haven't seen since some the members, including myself, aren't in specific communities for Super Junior alone and don't check fan-forums. A lot of us want to be notified of this issue, so it wouldn't be a very fair act to not allow this to go through.

Big Bang GDragon has been labelled as a ‘herbivorous guy’.
GDragon did a test on how much of a ‘herbivorous guy’ he is on the show SBS Kim JungEun’s Chocolated aired on 19th September.
It has been known that GDragon has become the new representative of ‘herbivorous guy’ in the entertainment zone with his unique fashion sense.
GDragon was asked to answer a series of questions with ‘O’ or ‘X’ answer - “I have a lot of girl friends but there is no case of development into lovers”, “I can hold a computer dinner with alcohol’ etc. And most of his answers were ‘O’ and MC Kim JungEun has labelled him as a ‘perfect herbivorous guy’.
During this episode, GDragon also performed his solo songs like ‘Heartbreaker’, ‘Breathe’ and ‘This Love’.
Meanwhile, GDragon continues with the ‘GDragon tsunami’ phenomenon, the song ‘Heartbreaker’ is doing well up on music charts and music shows rankings.
*PS: ‘Herbivorous Guy’, according to Korean Wiki, is to describe someone who does not appeal very strongly as an opposite gender to female, but is known to be active in his interests and hobbies, and rather passive when it comes to females or lovers.

It has been known that girlgroups KARA and f(x) members are close friends.
With similar age range amongst members and also promoting in the same time period, the 2 groups have become closer in terms of their relationship. The 2 groups have even danced to each other’s choreography on a music programmes recently.
