I love both 2PM and MBLAQ... But the difference is that 2PM wasn't as popular back when they first started their season of Idol Army. MBLAQ's first ep was hilarious but IMHO, not as good as 2PM's first ep. Or it could just be my 2PM bias speaking.
First 2pm exposes their upper bodies and now MBLAQ exposes their lower bodies?? It's a nice trend...XD
I think it's too early to decide whether MBLAQ has "bent" 2pm's season. Season 3 was simply EPIK WIN. I can't even describe how much I love them b/c of that show. Also in comparison to MBLAQ's first ep, the first ep of season 3 with the stockings and kkung kkung dda was funnier imo.XD 2pm wasn't as popular when they first started Idol Army so that affected the ratings as well. Besides, 2pm did the beastly idol thing first, and now MBLAQ's being all cracky but I don't think they would have been this free if 2pm didn't throw their idol images out the window first. TL;DR. That being said, I really hope 2pm comes on this season after Jay comes back (hopefully).

I will always love 2PM's Idol Army! It was EPIC. But I don't like it when people say they were the first ones to be all crazy and unidol-like. Super Junior did it before them, Shinhwa did it before SuJu. There's always been one group in each batch of boybands who is crazy and now it's MBLAQ's turn to carry the torch.
I think this article's WORDING is very incorrect and misleading. When I first read the title, I thought MBLAQ had out sell 2PM in CDs or chart ranking.
I've been following 2PM since Hot Blood day. When 2PM first debut, they didn't have a lot of fan. Most netizen's reaction to them were something like "uhhhh, whatever" So when it was announced that they are hosting Idol Army...not a lot of people even care. Mainly because season 2 was FT Island and it was...boring (I"M SORRY HONGKI I LOVE U). That's why 2PM first episode rating was low.
A lot of people thought season 3 was going to be really boring. It wasn't until episode 7 of 2PM Idol Army that 2PM starting receiving attention from the netizens (the rating was amazing after ep 7 aired).
MBLAQ is very lucky to be receiving this much attentions. I wish them a good season.
I really wish people would stop comparing 2PM's season to this one. This is Mblaq's chance to shine and its their show. There's people out there that keep talking about Mblaq is not going to beat 2PM's epic season which doesn't make sense the show started yesterday. I rather watch this show with an open minded rather waste time comparing seasons besides there's not enough episodes to give a fair comparison. And the fact that people are making excuses to why Mblaq's debut episode is higher than 2PM's debut episode is kind of sad. Who cares that Mblaq might have more fans than 2PM had the time their season debuted or there's more sponsors during this season? I say just enjoy the season. If you don't like it you don't like it.
The viewing ratings are not exactly the best way to compare the two...plus its difficult to compare the two...they shouldn't even be compared!
But MBLAQ did well on their first eps...they did expose A LOT >_< And did seem a little on crack ^^; If MBLAQ and 2PM came together and did a show...it would be CHAOS!!!!!! WONDERFUL CHAOS :D
I just saw the first ep
