Well. I got a ticket to the Tegan and Sara con x show in LA later this month, so I'm excited! A little bit nervous because I've only ever been to kpop concerts before. I don't know the etiquette for more local groups.

I finally got my Love Yourself album in the mail this week. My random version turned out to be V, and I got an RM photocard. I mentioned on another post that I nearly had a heart attack because my parents' dog tried to eat it (and when he eats things, as he frequently does, they rarely survive intact).

Idk what to say about local concerts, I actually find that kpop concerts are the ones with a really specific étiquette! Just enjoy! choose your location well (I prefer not to be close to the scene because people push and usually you can still enjoy the view/sound from a bit further back) but that depends on you. I think people will be a lot chiller.

Hello omona! I hope everyone is having a fabulous friday. I just came back from a jog. This year, I've been working out more and changed my diet as a way of living more healthy. I've lost a nice bit of weight so far too. Mentally, the changes are alot slower tho. Mostly I worry about keeping the weight off and the physical changes have landed me in another circle of people-like-to-have-opinions-about-my-weight hell lmao.

Work has really sucked for the past few weeks, at one point I had so much work I got overwhelmed and I was just stressed out and anxious all the time. We tried implementing a system for me to help manage the workload tho, so there's that. But my work just hasn't given me the satisfaction I long for to make me feel like I'm doing a good job? So much stuff just seems so overwhelming where idk what to do and here's no one to help me with it and all of it is just beating at my confidence. My mom says it'll pass and that it would be beneficial to stay at this work at least 2y to make it look good on my resume, and maybe she's right. I've mostly been feeling this for about a month or so. I've worked here since March, I think it was (and it's my first real job I've had after school). I'm just really not happy with the work I do atm, and that just sucks.

Oh, not only did I just realize that^, yesterday my co-workers were having a discussion and suddenly one of them just said something imo racist and in such bad taste and I was just like ??. And no one reacted to it and the woman he was talking to just chuckled along like it's wasn't somehow fucked up the things he said. Idk maybe I'm too sensitive but that thing just really threw me off and I can never look at this person the same way again. (and I'm still not over it even though it happened yesterday)

So not only am I not happy with my work but one of my co-workers turned out to be someone who was totally fine with using derogatory terms and offensive jokes like it was nothing. Like wtf @ these past few weeks.

In any job you'll find overwhelming and difficult moments, the fact that it's happening only now despite working there since September is not that bad, in hindsight. Is it a problem just for you or for the whole team? Is there a specific event (like me, it's currently hell because everyone came back from holidays before september and want work done NOW + a lot of deadlines for different calls for project) that could explain how much you have to do right now? or are you taking in more duties than you have time to do?
Also you mother is right about 2 years being a good sign on a resume, it shows that you stayed enough to really manage work/responsabilities. But there's always a line to draw between this goal of 2 years and how you're feeling in the job right now. Don't turn away from opportunities or silence uneasiness just because of this goal :)

I don't really know what to say about the coworker :( are you able to avoid him most of the time?

my upcominig trip to mexico has been canceled due to the fact that my sister finally got a job. and since she just started i dont think they'll let her call off 3 weeks in December we're only going to dr. my mom says i can always go next year for spring break which is cool. but now i wanna add a trip to chile(kinda wanna go to lolla) . so i'll see what i'll do (tbh i dont have the funds for this but a girl can dream)

Well, I recently made a comment on a twitter post related about how Bangtan was not in the category of Best Korean Artist for this one award (I forget) yet Mamamoo is (with an 🙄 icon), and in the span of 2 hours got told off by 6 ARMYs not to stir shit and/or keep my thoughts to myself. Literally had to delete that comment to stop the spammage in my notifications.

And when I told my irl ARMY friends about it, to my further annoyance, they said it’s best I don’t name names and maintain ARMY’s “angelic image” online. I nearly threw up on my screen.

Oh there are definitively highs and lows, personally I really enjoyed the releases for the last two years but am not so satisfied this year so far, and it came after a few lows as well.
Though I really like cute girl groups and there are always enough cute girl groups in kpop for me lol.
Maybe try to check on new artists? especially those with a big discography, there's a lot to catch up :)

I'm still not over the Mic Drop performances lol. I really wish this was their single rather than DNA -- have only watched two perfs of that and while its cute, not my thing. Too forgettable sounding and pop bland, and I find the styling a downgrade. I know it's purposefully early-2000s boyband throwback but it looks so cheap (even though I know the pieces are all designer) and tacky. I esp love the part in Mic Drop when Jimin is onstage w/just hyung line, it's so cute I wanna pinch his cheeks. Feels like he got promoted out of the douchebro himbo pack and upgraded to the big boy club. But then there's the part w/just Taehyung & Jungkook and I'm back to no I don't want to see your artsy photos depicting shadowy side boobs and hard pass on watching a live demo of how much you can bench.

Haven't found a new job yet to fit in with school. At my current job we now have topped 50 people leaving/being fired after 3 months.

Some idiot from security cleaned up bloody glass from a hotel room, put the stuff in a plastic bag, and just left it on my desk without a note on what it was. I ended up touching the bag when I came back from lunch because I didn't know what it was. I only found out what it was when I read on a log in the computer (from front desk) that there was broken glass in the room number the bag came from. Well thank you front desk people for at least saying something about what happened! If it wasn't from them or my own coworkers I wouldn't have known! Found out it was the security supervisor and when I told her you don't biohazard materials on a DESK she said "Ok thanks, bye" and hung up on me. I told management and they said they'd take care of it, but they're actually friends with her so....welp.

Y’all I’m sick as dog holy shit. I hate when I can feel myself gettin sick and it just gets worse and worse. My mom was telling me I was always sick as a kid and that my immune system just hates me I guess. My abs have been coming in from coughing so there’s a bright side to everything.

My O version of Love Yourself came in and now I kind of wish I got the V version lmao. Jimin in this thing looks AMAZING though. Like flawless. I also got Young Forever as a birthday gift to myself haha even though damn what’s the point of cds anymore? BigHit needs to release record albums and my hipster ass will be all over it.

Other than being sick I’m thinking I’m going to look for a second job. It’s filling me with dread because only working one job spoiled me with all the free time I have and how I’m not tired constantly. But I need the money.

For a little sad turn though I really wish this country would get it’s shit together. Y’all it’s only been 10 MONTHS. I feel like I aged 40 years. My friends cousin was recently killed by gun violence so that plus what happens in LV has made the past weekend really upsetting. I just wish things could be better. I'm on my way to Denmark to meet with some friends this weekend but I missed my connection flight by 10mins (!!!) so now I'm stuck in Frankfurt for 3 more hours and I'll arrive at my destination at 1:30am. On top of that I'm not feeling well either /sigh

Have fun this weekend and I hope you feel better asap! I've never been to the Frankfurt airport but does it at least have decent duty free shops? I've missed connections way too many times and ended up stuck in random airports and it's always boring -- I usually hit the duty free shops, or have a drink and read a trashy magazine or novel I get from one of the gift shops...or else if there's decent wifi, watch something on my laptop. :)

I don't know what the US is coming to, I really don't, but it's so scary.

Working in retail sucks. I had a couple of days this week when I almost snapped at customers and/or co-workers because of the stress. Luckily I managed to keep my mouth shut, but I may or may not have seemed like a rude bitch...
And on that note, I'm leaving for Stockholm tomorrow, it's nice to get a little vacation before the stress and hordes of people destroy me during the Holiday season...
