I'm going to actually wither away from frustration while waiting for episode 11 and 12 to be subbed. The ending of episode 11 and that preview look so intense.

More and more I want to punch yeji in the face everytime she shows up onscreen. And a punch for yookyung too.

Kang unnie's cameo was perfect and I like that it was her who gave Yeeun the kick she needed.

I'm calling it now, Janghoon built that stool-chair thing to stand on when he finally kisses Eun.

I'm glad they brought back Kang unnie and Yeeun's quarrelling dynamic, and her brashness is something we don't really see this season because everyone has been so docile/agreeable (?) this season

Jiwon and Sungmin are by far my favourite couple this season, and their scenes are hilarious! With the show wrapping up soon, it feels like the writers are moving in the 'Sungmin getting more proactive' direction? Especially with ep10 of him viewing Jiwon more as a woman

What's "PPL"?

Really? You don't like Yeji? I find her so so so cute, the actress has taken my heart. I could listen to her voice forever, this is the only time I've felt the true power of aegyo.

I love that Sungmin and Jiwon have these attraction moments but it's less heavily sexual, more just being "sexually deprived" friends like, of course there's the underlying current of ACTUAL sexual tension but when it's joked about like Jiwon trying to see him change in the massage place. It's perfect bestfriend/lover moments.

Yeah, maybe if Eunjae and her dude had been dating for the first like 5 eps, then broken up, then gotten together, there'd be more to do with the plot? I'm over it at this point and think the other girl dating Sunbae fits more in with a slice-of-life real theme that AoY is being. Some people don't end up with their first love and that's okay! I like a little heartache in my shows from time to time.

I know Jin Myung's the closed up type but even then, there should be more hints of why Heimdal/Asgard has effected her so much? I think I'm always making up my own conclusions with her. AND I'M STILL MAD HOT CHEF WAS SENT TO SOME GOURMET RESTAURANT OR WHEREVER HE IS.

PPL=Product placement.
It was briefly said in one of the epilogues that Jinmyung is so drawn to Heimdall because he reminds her of her own brother but they haven't explored that much yet

that's not his actual cameo though is it? That's not it. That can't be it. No. No. No. No.

But that Sungmin+Jiwon ship, I'm here for. I love that Sungmin's the more affected one and Jiwon's more of the 'aggressor'

Awww yiiiisss it was super cute too *___*

Now I don't know how to feel bc I want those eps in my life but I don't want AOY to ever end either.... What do, what do.

Best use of PPL ever with Sungmin getting distracted by Ji Won's legs and the car auto stopping. Just get married you two, dang it. If this season doesn't end with them together, I'm taking back every good thing I've said about this show! (Obviously that's too dramatic, but I need it)

THIS SO MUCH. I've been dying for them to get together since the previous season, so if they don't end up together by the end of this one, I'm going to go to Korea to kill some producers/writers (?).

I was happy with the Yi Na cameo. So many shows pretend a character never existed when they leave the show, I'm glad they talk about her quite a bit and that she showed up in this ep. I liked their, as my friend put it, "Drunk History retelling, but with ice cream instead of alcohol" haha.

I really miss Yina, she was one of favorite character from the previous season, but I'm glad that she came back just as she is and put Ye Eun in her place (again).

I'm also really tired of Eun Jae's story. Like move on, girl! But given her character, I'm no surprised by how she is facing her break up. I like the new actress more, tho.

As for Yoon-sunbae, I think she sees a bit of herself and all of what she had gone by in him, but the diference is that he still keeps being positive and express his mind when he suffers something that is unjust, which is something she couldn't do, she just took everything to herself, acepted everything and tried to keep going. I think that she is trowing to him the anger she has for herself for not being able to do the same (I don't know if I'm being clear. English is not my first language),

I can accept that option, and I want it more now that I have the feeling that they are leaving Jiwon's childhood storyline without resolution, which is driving me crazy because it was the most interesting part of this season and I had high hopes for it. This season is focusing too much on Ye Eun and Eun Jae's storylines and they are not as interesting.

I'm not totally sure, of course, but I saw the parallel ever since the first time she met him on the street trying to get to the show after being left behind, All the times she encountered him, he was somehow struggling but still fighting, just like her during the previous season, and she was always surprised by how positive he was despite all of his problems.

They're resolving Jiwon's childhood storyline! But I don't know what they'll do with Jiwon/Sungmin - they're on a slow burn and honestly if the writers pull that fart ending again I'm going to join your riot. With Ye Eun and Eun Jae, honestly I wish they were just single. What's so wrong with being a young girl not attached to a boy?

Date: 2017-10-01 11:34 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] shuumi-miss.livejournal.com
Really? The're resolving Jiwon's storyline? Does that happen in any of this week's episodes? Subtitutles come out so late for this drama ):

Well, we are three already, I think we can have something done here if they don't give us JiwonxSungmin, they will regret it :P.

With Ye Eun and Eun Jae, honestly I wish they were just single. What's so wrong with being a young girl not attached to a boy?

This! The fact that everybody seems to think you need to have a couple to be happy or "complete" makes me so angry.

I'm only really interested in Jiwon/Sungmin this season, while I didn't get the hype over them in season 1. They just HAVE to end up together, but by this point it'll be so rushed that I'll gladly take their spinoff show instead.

Ye Eun and Ho Chang are really cute too.

Are we sure it's 14 eps? They wrapped up filming 2 days ago and the preview for ep 12 seems finale-ish?

finally caught up with the episodes fast enough to join the discussion. this season has been more interesting than the previous in terms of the plots and characters, and I'm really intrigued to see how Joan is related to the girls. My first reaction to the backview of the man was to link it back to serial killer in episode 1, but the previews seem to tell me otherwise.

also, I would really like an end to the wishy washiness of EunJae's storyline. I skip almost all of her storylines every episode because it has just been so uninspiring.

I saw modeling pics of Choi Ara only just yesterday and was like whaaaat, no way could this be the same person? My world flipped. Eun feels so real! I've seen almost everyone else on the show in other dramas so, in the back of my head, I'm always like yeah this is a show/these are actresses duh, but Eun feels like an actual person so to see Choi Ara's work outside of it I'm like wait she's the real person. It made me sad to lose Eun, but happy to gain Ara? It's so weird.

I know a lot of people were excited about the prospect of Eun/Yeji so I feel kinda guilty for loving Janghoon/Eun so much because ~heterosexual~ but at the same time, I feel like we also don't get very varying heterosexual experiences like Eun wanting to throw up in the beginning from anxiety? I can legit feel sick seeing guys I like to the point of avoiding them? So every time Janghoon appears, I feel Eun's every panicked heartbeat lol.

The tea(?) shop scene where Janghoon realizes that Yeji's right, Eun would have to wait for him for two years and would that be fair? (I could already envision some sort of finale epilogue where we see Eun waiting (wherever SK's discharged get dropped off) for Janghoon with ~long, beautiful~ hair and Janghoon being like /where is she?/ *disappointed face* then running to each other. (The first time they've seen each other since their ICONIC chair kiss ^^credit to torontok.)

I just see so much of my past nerves in them. I had a lot of crushes on short guys but none of them ever succeeded and I've been burned enough that now I'm like "you ugly anyway" lmao and am living through this.

I feel you...I'm going through this right now lol. I can so relate to Eun so much and understand why she reacts the way she does sometimes.

I'm not mad at the exclusive heterosexual relationships tbh. I think AoY made a world where homosexuals can plausibly exist without being joke characters or burned at the stake. Eun's not avoiding Yeji bc she's possibly romantically interested in her but because she's obsessive. The possibility of their relationship was never treated like some weird thing either. I love that Eun is basically a naive fangirl... that much I can relate to.

lolol I do love how Eun's the character spawning all these great fanfic ideas on this thread though. It seems so in character.

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't care about Jiwon and Sungmin. I'm also not happy that Eunjae's entire storyline this whole season is moping about her ex, I hope the writers actually DO SOMETHING with her in these next 4 episodes.

And LMAO the look Jinmyung gave the camera when the girls were about to change in the massage room, what a queen.

I don't think I care either. Sungmin always looks so annoyed with her that I could believe he wrote the letter for Jiwon lol. I like the lovecom ship more.

I'm sooo sick of Eunjae! I agree with keyfelt, they should have made a new character instead + I'm sure Hyesoo could have committed to at least a cameo like Snek did. Jinmyung's storyline is dragging too, I'm glad they were able to get Heimdal to sign his termination contract. My sympathy for him stopped when he didn't know what he wanted to gain from his protest, wow. I think he'll probably try to commit suicide tho, I hope not tho. It'd be shocking if his storyline wrapped up with him working at the convenience store Jinmyung used to work at.
You know, for the briefest moment I wondered if Sungmin wrote that letter for Jiwon. We always get lingering shots of him clenching his fist whenever she does something he doesn't like. I could see him both loving and resenting Jiwon.
I liked dramabeans theory that the letter was always intended for Jiwon because she's the only character who didn't do any self reflection about it, or think the letter was for her. She was a bit like that last season too.
Wow at Ye-Eun storyline. It ended the exact way I thought it would. But I was shocked by how calm Yoo kyung was about being caught and Kyung ah knowing but being in denial 😞. Moving forward I hope Ye-Eun can preserve her friendship with Kyung ah and build a strong one Ho-Chang. I wonder if they'll ever say that Ho-Chang is on the spectrum. Probably not.
I love Eun so much, and I want her to end up with Jang-hoon! I hate Yeji, she is so annoying, her voice is annoying, her face is annoying. I'm categorizing her actress as someone I never want to watch in a drama again (along with Kwak Si-yang, Lee won-keun, and the girl who played Hwang Jung-eum's annoying friend in Lucky Romance). I hope we can wrap up the issues pertaining to Eun's family before the show ends. Did y'all see the pictures of Eun wearing a dress in the coming episodes? So cute!

I joint the hate club for Eunjae, when I see her I wonder how the other actress would do it.
what is the deal with Kyung ah ? she wants to probably get over it.

ji won and sungmin I dont know if I want them together romantically but yes to them be BFF

What happened with Jiwon's childhood storyline? I hope they don't leave that in the air without a resolution like they did with the ballerina shoe. I was totally engrossed in Jiwon's storyline (which had the potential to be really interesting), and then they just stopped that for Eun Jae's ridiculness about her ex and Ye Eun's crisis.
