JYP actually hasn't been the CEO of JYPE for a while, he's still active in the group creation process and he makes tracks for their artists sometimes tho. that said, I don't think the company is too worried about losing Kwon, and I think even though it was probably a hard decision for him (I remember he made a distraught-sounding SNS post not long ago and I think this was related to it) he's made the right choice for himself.

Yeah. That's what I was trying to say. Like, the company could probably care less if Jo Kwon stayed or left (as harsh as that may sound) because they don't have the time or money for him anyways. It's just sad that he resigned with them probably thinking they'd give him more opportunities to grow as an artist, but all he did was just waste xyz amount of years when he could have been with another company who would have actually helped him. I'm just sad for him if all he got were empty promises.

Yuri just finished filming a music video in Cali, some collaboration with a dj. She has also gotten her steady share of modeling gigs as well as promotional gigs for different brands: pants, make up and her pantene gig all throughout the year; she's been plenty busy.

She just had surgery for her ankle though (yesterday), so she will be taking a break from now on so she can heal properly.

Other than SNSD schedules, she also seems to be having a blast with her not so secret girlfriend and doesn't seem to worried. I think she, and all of Soshi will be just fine.

Lol, I was just being a tad sarcastic.

There's not much to tell. Her name is Juran and they go everywhere together whenever Yuri has some free time; she's always leaving comments on Yul's ig. She has some Yuri merchandise that sparked the curiosity of fans (a Yuri pillow). I think they met when Yul was attending university, but don't quote me on that.

A lot of people are convinced she's a social climber since she makes an effort to always show one way or another that she's with Yuri and it raises some eyebrows, but I personally think they're just good pals. If anything, I think Yuri is straight, but it would be cool if they were really dating.

it's tacky to me when people make a thing of "this company keeps losing their old guard, this company is bad etc." JYPE has had the most amicable departures of all the big 3 and their former talent usually don't seem to bear bad feelings towards them. they're not a horrible company but none of the companies are perfect lol, I say this as a 2PM stan...

anyway, I wish Kwon luck, it does feel like the end of an era. :( he came to them with basically nothing and he gained so much, they really fostered his talent. (also RIP Oneday)

Seriously, I totally agree. Its sad but I mean it makes total sense. Why should people stick around and wait for the company to give them a comeback when the company is clearly focusing on their idols? They are putting their resources in the groups that produce the most income. I mean its not a damn charity. It makes total sense for older artists to move to a small company that will put their resources toward them and give them a comeback...

The company is no saint and they've made their share of stupid decisions, but at least JYPE doesn't trash everyone when they leave. Sunmi was literally just on JYP's new show and even 1st gen jype artists are still friends
