Has the next Idol School elimination been spoiled by the eliminees themselves?

After last week's episode, Idol School fans noticed that several of the trainees from Idol School had suddenly reappeared on social media (instagram) ahead of this Friday's elimination. This would imply that the girls have their phones back and therefore have been eliminated from the programme.

Everything below is potentially a spoiler.


First of all came an interesting instagram story from previously eliminated trainee, Snowbaby (Cai Rui Xue, Taiwanese).

While it's uncertain who Snowbaby is talking to, the only Idol School participants who are known to speak Chinese are Snowbaby and Tasha. The mystery contestant addresses Snowbaby in both Korean and simplified Chinese - one of the official scripts of Singapore - and later refers to herself as Snowbaby's 'unnie'. Snowbaby later deleted the instagram story.

This is the most tenuous of the rumours. However, after it happened, Idol School fans noticed other girls returning to instagram, conspicuously starting to follow each other's personal pages.

Then Kim Myungji, myong_d97, started following Idol School accounts, in this case previously eliminated student Jeong Somi.

People also think Juhyun is back on instagram but I don't think the instagram linked is hers, since it was posting during her Idol School run and mostly features another girl. Perhaps it's just a company she's done modelling for or something.

If these rumours are true, then the rankings have barely changed in two weeks, even through the recent examination. The only student ranked in the bottom ten who has not been spotted on social media is Lee Sian, who won the +3 rank benefit in her performance and may have been saved because of it, as she last ranked 21st. The only surprise is Kim Nayeon, who last ranked 12th (AND I'M FURIOUS ABOUT).

These rumours are leading Idol School fans to be concerned about the talent level of the debut group, as this elimination decimates the vocal line, especially so if Herin has also been eliminated (a personal instagram appearing to belong to her, followed by her sister and following Dahee, has been found, but I think that's inconclusive proof), as well as the programme's most skilled dancer and most of the rappers.

I feel like mnet dropped this show as soon as the ratings tanked. I know they didn't want another p101, but the show lacks any charm or even drama for them to do their evil magic and keep people entertained, I think. and all the girls always look so DONE with the things the show come up with.

I don't care about the final group as long as I can see saerom's pretty face a bit more. I'm more curious if any of these girls will sign with agencies after this big mess.

About half the girls are already ex-group members or ex-trainees from big companies so my guess is that they're in the general periphery of idol training, attending academies or classes or whatever, despite not being officially signed at the moment in order to compete here. I don't expect it to be hard for a lot of the girls to be resigned.

i'm behind a couple eps so i haven't read this but thus far this is shaping up to be an all visuals, no talent group with the exception of jiwon and hayoung, and jiwon isn't even a sure thing. this is meant to be a permanent group and yet everyone is voting with their eyes when they'll inevitably bitch about the mediocrity they've created later lmao.

So, fun fact: if these spoilers are true then the entire Rookie team has been wiped out, which is kind of justified, but not when it's KIM NAYEON WHO DESERVED BETTER
Also a bunch of the contestants on this show are ex-group members so I wonder if it's too late to get Nayeon (Berry Good), Myungji (Tiny-G), Yeonji (Bloomy), Dahee (Awesome Baby), Yoojung (myB) and Tasha (Skarf) on The Unit, because I liked most of those girls and some of them are really talented

I really do hope they get a chance to go on The Unit if it's not too late, especially when the lineup does not seem to be maxed out? Unless The Unit has a clause that non-agency trainees cannot participate

unlike most people, I don't think this group will flop completely since the girl already have a fan base. No matter how small that fan base is still better than nothing. But Mnet (which company they'll be under?) needs to give them banger, otherwise they will fade into oblivion
