On September 14, it was reported that SHINee’s Key shared an early birthday present from member Jonghyun. He took to Instagram to show off his amazing gift. Key wrote under the image posted, "The man who loves me and his gift for me <3 @jonghyun.948 My world!!!! Jonghyun hyung did it again!!!! #cartier”. The photo display a red fancy gift box from expensive French jewelry brand Cartier.

Fans immediately began researching on the price of the brand and soon discovered that the bracelet Key received was a Juste un Clou which is roughly 8,750,000 KRW (approx. $7,700). Within minutes the hashtag #Young&Rich began trending on Twitter in Korea referencing it to Jonghyun’s gift to Key. Fans commented, "Jonghyun really seems like a big spender... He's definitely young & rich!! Young&rich was trending on Twitter; I wish he would release the 'Young & Rich' single TT", "It's SHINee we're talking about... taeny shippers are so extreme. there's also, surprisingly, a really rabid ship!base for baekyeon - like obviously they were a thing but i'm surprised at how many people "ship" them together still given how terrible everyone was when their dating news broke. it's actually kind of funny because jonghyun and taeyeon have a pretty big shipping fandom too and a lot of people were speculating that they were dating this summer so it was like a triple whammy when you had all sides of ott shippers coming around in outrage.
