Police Conclude Investigation Of Case Involving Choi Joon Hee And Grandmother

A source from the police has shared an update on the case surrounding Choi Joon Hee and her grandmother.

In August, Choi Joon Hee, the daughter of late actress Choi Jin Shil, uploaded shocking accounts on social media about the difficulties she endured while living with her maternal grandmother. After losing her mother, father, and uncle to suicide, she and her brother had been raised by their maternal grandmother.


This led to the police opening an official investigation into the child abuse allegations. Choi Joon Hee also voluntarily admitted herself into a hospital, was discharged after a three-day stay, and was reported to be staying with a close family friend instead of her maternal grandmother.

On September 12, a source from the Seocho Police Department revealed that investigations have been completed and that they were unable to find anything suspicious about Choi Joon Hee’s grandmother in regards to child abuse.

They said that after analyzing the statements of Choi Joon Hee, her brother Choi Hwan Hee, and people close to the family, it would be difficult to view the case as child abuse.

my blood is boiling right now. the police had enough evidence to charge the grandmother, but of course, elderly people in Korea get away with everything. and as for these scums called netizens, i'm not surprised to see them putting all the blame on a child since the beginning of the investigation. that bullying mentality was one of the main reasons why Joon-Hee's mother (Choi Jin Shil) committed suicide. that woman was a domestic abuse victim and when everyone told her to stay with her awful husband & not talk about it, she did the opposite. she was not afraid to speak her mind, and i hope her daughter continues to express her opinions as well as continue to stay with her aunt.

She's a young kid, how can cops know for sure she isn't being abused? Shocking things happen behind closed doors that never get to see the light of day so many times.
