Rescue Me/Save Me Ep 11-12 Discussion Post

Synopsis: A girl is surrounded by suspicious people and quietly whispers, “Save me!” in a dark neighborhood alleyway, and a couple of unemployed youths hear her and run to her rescue. They discover that she’s trapped in some kind of pseudo-religious cult and try to help her, but what ensues is a sequence of horrifying tension-filled events that make us wonder more about the science of the human psyche.

yoooo this show is messing with my head!! i started it late last week and binged all 10 eps that were out then in 2 days.

ep 12 was so intense i could die! i have no idea how that cliffhanger will end, but i PRAY TO THE ALMIGHTY that they're not gonna go there omg.

also, it's such a thing of beauty to see these two smile!! they're the two characters i care for and wish happiness for the most (not that there's that many non-evil characters to choose from lol)

this drama really doesn't give you a single moment to catch your breath huh. last episode was especially intense for me and there were several scenes where i was about to snap because tension was so high. ocn writers in general know how to do that effectively. also i kept thinking that dong cheol may get himself killed with his spying shenanigans so i really hope that drama wont prove me right!!!
now that i think about it - 12th ep was my favorite so far. truly great. that cop pissed me off tho. dude you know whats happening to her and now in front of all the key people in this cult you are going to tell her ~ it's ok tell me truth there is nothing to be afraid of!~ what a joke. kinda want to believe that he'll pull through and help everyone out but like... he is a sell out and only in it for himself and now that high ranks are in cult - no chance in hell.
p.s. several other observations. the way they made sang mi's father into basically prison guard (and the way i see it - probably a killer too) just to tie down sang mi because now both of her parents are in a deep shit was brilliant in most evil ways. i wonder how this will play out. also i don't think i truly understood why he chose sang mi either. i always felt like he just hated to see her family remaining happy and hopeful despite their shituation. so i hope they'll explore this further. also it's interesting how he is "saving her" in his own mind (suuuure dude, get your redemption at the cost of someone's life it's not like you were grabbing her legs during very first meeting) as it shows another side to drama title.
