Synopsis: Set one year after season 1 of "Age of Youth." Jin-Myung successfully found a job after she returned from China. Ye-Eun took a year off from school due to the aftereffects of her abusive ex-boyfriend. She is now returning to her university. Ji-Won has yet to find a boyfriend. Eun-Jae broke up with her first love and she is in emotional pain. The girls have a new housemate Jo Eun at their sharehouse. She stays in the room previously occupied by Yi-Na.

Bless subbers for the faster subs this week. I'm bummed that my favorite couple from last season is now my least favorite, but I'm all aboard the Ji Won/Sungmin ship.

havent watched the 4th episode yet but i wanna comment on how annoying the new girl and the "gotta have to find something out" story is. i just skip her parts and i hope its not the main story of this season.

the girl replacing eunjae is doing a good job. she kinda reminds me of AnnE, at least her face.

i just finished the fourth episode and i'm liking it a lot again! i'll wholeheartedly join you on the jiwon/sungmin ship i love their interactions so much. i love jiwon in general.

i'm also quite impressed with how the series deals with the aftermath of the abuse of yeeun. it's good that their showing that learning to deal with something like this takes a lot of time and therapy.

i actually think the new girl is an interesting add, i still don't really get the relationship she has with her friend

i love eun, tbh! her relationship with yeji (her best friend?) confuses the hell out of me, tho. all the pictures of them on eun's phone lead me to believe that they might be gfs instead—along w/ how possessive yeji gets over eun, tbh—but i'm waiting on more of a confirmation. if they're something more than friends, i need something more than subtext... i dunno, if it's a cable drama, she can be bi, right? like nana's char on the good wife, tho i think that was a translation thing. i just want more bi chars, tbh. if eun's bi i'm all for it, same w/ if eun's dating yeji. i really can't tell the nature of their relationship but i love their dynamic. yeji's super cute, too: i was a lil' emo when she left belle epoque the morning after junghoon and eun brought her in, i wish their was a confrontation scene either between yeji and eun or yeji and one of the roommates

junghoon is amaaazing. minseok's a great actor, as always. i don't really like the way he was introduced, tho (aside from him being the gas station attendant in the first ep). it was played for comedic effect but it was just weird—but i also can't think of another way they would've brought him in and had all the girls pay attention to him from the get-go, so. and i thought the scene with him + yeeun was really sweet, he handled it pretty well. even if his sympathy was towards the wrong girl, i'm glad it was a char development thing for yeeun

i can't believe i'm (still!) seeing criticism of yeeun, tbh. she's arguably had the most growth last season and the writers are handling her trauma really well this season, too—i felt so good for her when she was ditching her drab clothes and then really bad when she was too scared to walk the few blocks to the house :( i love yeeun. the boy who's into her is already reaching potential fave status. i don't think he was introduced well, either, and i'm surprised yeeun already walked back up to him / initiated a friendly relationship with him. they're really cute together, and lee yoo jin is rlly good in this role

i'm warming up to ji woo as eunjae already but eunjae's char is really falling flat for me this season, so far. the eternal sunshine thing was really trite and disappointing and it's infuriating how petty eunjae is being about the breakup esp. since she insists she broke up with him and can't make up her mind on it so it's just her turning 180s throughout the episodes. and sunbae isn't being any better about it, either; i wish the writers would move on from it, i'm sick of it already

• lee yoo jin reminds me of baro (in this role)
• the mole on yeji's actress' nose is so cute
• eun being an idol fan is so endearing tbh! her asking about the fifth column and jinmyung responding with singing the asgard song was one of my fave moments in these eps
• also, what company thinks a grp w/ the boyfriend-esque quirky concept can make it without adapting? smh

I really like Jung Hoon too! That scene with him and Ye Eun was really great. I didn't get the criticism of Ye Eun last season and I don't get it even more this year (though luckily I've just seen a few comments). Even if this new guy doesn't end up being her forever love, I still like that she's trying to talk to/be friends with a guy and I think that will be great growth for her.

Eun Jae is just blah this season. I don't get what they're trying to do with this breakup. Is it supposed to be this big mystery what actually happened/who broke up with who? Because I don't care and at this point I don't even want them back together. Just move on both of you. But this seems to be her main storyline for the whole season and I'm already annoyed.

right? i'm excited for their future scenes. i'd love to see a longer scene with just him and jinmyung, too—that scene where he was in the kitchen ~* explaining himself was a really good one but mostly i'd think them two, specifically, would be great foils and junghoon definitely probably doesn't know anything about how to be a good landlord. i hope they don't end up scrapping all his interaction w/ the girls for just eun, but i have faith the writers won't. fingers crossed, at least, lol

same, yeeun was one of my faves last season. i loved her dynamic w/ yina but she's always been a very solid standalone char, imo. yeah, tho! i'm excited to see where it goes, esp. since it doesn't really feel romantic on either side to me (yet) and i'm wondering in general how the pairings'll work this season. the chemistry between the girls and guys is really good, too, considering most of the guys are completely new chars

and sunbae's chem w/ ji woo's eunjae isn't great so far, but it might just be the script... hopefully, i need something more from them—i don't want them to get together, again, even. just for them to grow up and talk to each other, pls. jiwon's elementary school friend would be a great mystery for this season, i'm dreading them just dropping it (like the ballerina plot last season, ugh)

Like I said in my forever long comment below, I like that Jung Hoon is going to be interacting with all of the girls. Usually the ~love interest~ just interacts with the girl he's with (minus the iconic man party from last year where Sunbae is awkwardly hanging out with all the girls minus Jin Myung or the other iconic scene where they beat him up lol) so I like that they're in a situation where it makes sense that he would be around and he could talk to any of the girls without it being strange. I really hope they don't just pair him with Eun and ignore everyone else. I like him as a character and I like Eun, but if they really are trying to make this romantic, they'll have to do a lot more to have me buy it.

It was easy for people to write off Ye Eun last year before the last episodes for being too judgemental or not interesting enough, but I always thought she was a good character despite her flaws. I'm also curious about the pairings this season, especially since they played them up in that one promo.

I thought the awkward courtship of Sunbae and Eun Jae was so cute and this like uncomfortable slightly angry breakup they have is just making me mad. Obviously it's partly because of a different actress, but Eun Jae really feels like a different character. Many things she's doing are just ??? to me? I can't see the cute whipped boy we saw last year breaking up with her nor do I see him doing the things she claimed were the reasons she broke up with him. Like, just stop being awkward, talk it out, move on separately. I didn't think I'd say this, but I don't want them back together. I just feel like it's going to be some stupid misunderstanding resolved in ep 11 and I'm really not wanting that.

I had hoped that the letter Eun found would be connected to the ballerina, but then since she was talking about Christmas last year, it can't be. Plus that would be a plot point not related to Eun Jae I guess. I'm not as bugged as others by that storyline drop, but I would like to know what actually happened! I think since the writer promised more Ji Won storyline this year that this won't get dropped, fingers crossed.

all the capes/kimonos/shrugs/robes jiwon wears need to be mine! and she keeps taking out new ones i'm like girl where do u store them all! i really like Eun she's so cute and tall and it looks like she's gonna have a moment with each girl and finally completely blend in with the craziness and loooooooove
i hope they don't make her go through the typical kdrama girly makeover her style is on point and it suits her perfectly

lol thats such a big drama pet peeve of mine. the main girl character is usually poor, or lives in a small one-room, and the clothes are clearly seen on a rack ... like 5 dresses, some skirts, etc ... but then they never re-wear a piece of clothing for the whole series!!! every time i'm like i KNOW you do not own that much clothing.

i ADORE eun. my god, and to think i was once convinced that i would hate her. i have a theory that eun is straight and her friend is the one with a huge crush on her.

and i died when jinmyung was awkwardly singing that asgard song and jiwon was like "wtf was that?" LMAO totally my favourite part

So far, I'm still loving this series.

I do like Eun. She's already slowly blending in with other girls. I loved it when she went to pick up Ye-Eun at the bus stop and when she was concerned about Eunjae being sick and chased her down.

I think the writers are trying to be mysterious in terms of Eun's sexuality to show what things COULD be like. But I think by end, it will be that she is straight, and it actually looks she might be paired with Kim Min-Seok's character? The dynamics between a tall girl and short guy seems to be like the next take.

I really am not feeling Eunjae's whole breakup ordeal. I understand it is her first relationship, but still.

Ditto on Jiwon and Sungmin....I can't wait to see where the relationship goes!

she could be bi... but yeah, in the teasers where both girl and guy casts were paired off, eun was with junghoon. i'm not opposed to it but i wish we could get a little bit of both sides, instead of just the heteronormative one

I'm really not digging the new Eun Jae. I got a text from my friend earlier in the week "I think the thing I really dislike about the replacement Eun Jae is that she looks old. Like older than all of them, but she's trying to act young." and I had to tell her the actress is only 19 lol. But I think she's trying the innocent naive vibe of the character and with her it's coming off as fake, where with the original Eun Jae it was natural. I laughed when they threw out a flashback with the other actress, but just the back of her head. But really, as of right now her whole storyline is both of them being awkward and sad over their breakup--could we not have just had a new character if this is all that was planned for Eun Jae's story? I'm not even that curious about what really happened because I'm just annoyed by both of them right now. Like I said, they were my favorites last year and now I just don't care. I did laugh when the weird long haired Heechul lookalike that she had a crush on last season showed up.

I'm liking Eun a lot more than I was expecting to from her first ep. I still don't get what exactly her plan is and why she believes a psycho letter she randomly came across, but sure. I'm loving her starting to connect with the girls and not be so awkward and abrasive. I'm not a fan of her friend and I'm confused as to why the friend is pushing her so hard about her ~plan~. Is she just jealous of her for having outside friends? I don't get it but I do get hungry watching all their scenes with them eating meals. I was happy when she showed up to help Ye Eun, that was really cute.

Jin Myung is dating Hot Chef! Hallelujah! Their cute flirting makes me so happy. I'm hoping and praying that Heimdal is just there for her storyline and not as a love interest. I just can't see me buying him as a better love interest than Hot Chef, especially since they're together right now, which means we would have to have a breakup and him being established as a love interest in 8 episodes and I truly don't see that happening or me being okay with it. I did read online that Yoon Park was coming back for a cameo and he's on the AsianWiki page, so I hope it's a good reunion and not a breakup or something. I will riot. I am liking Heimdal as a character and feel so bad for his flop group. I hope Jin Myung can become friends with her coworker who is trying to be friends with her and that she can just open up more to people. I did laugh at Eun being a fan girl for a group and Jin Myung having no idea who they were. Bless her.

Ye Eun's storyline is really great to me, I'm glad they aren't shying away from her trauma, but I also really appreciate that she's "normal" at home with the girls. It makes the scenes when she's outside and trying to avoid men even more effective imo. I was so mad at those girls from her high school that were asking her questions and almost victim blaming her for her psycho ex abducting and abusing her. WTF? I'm glad she had scenes with both Jung Hoon and nerdy guy that helped her on her journey. I'm very glad that they didn't make it so that those two good interactions with men were enough to ~cure~ her. I'm not glad she freaked out at the bus stop in her pink clothes, but I'm relieved that they didn't write it that she was all better now. I'm glad that she seems to have good support systems around her. I also really like some of her witchy clothes haha.

Ji Won! I truly adore her and I'm completely hooked on her and Sungmin's interactions this season. I was bummed when nothing happened with them last year but now, it absolutely has to, right? He obviously cares a lot about her even if she annoys him to death. I love that she just hangs out and bugs him because she doesn't have anything else to do. I'm glad we're finally getting more of her story. That scene with her parents was totally cracking me up, them cackling and saying they would have chosen a smarter kid if they adopted her haha. I'm interested with where they're going with this mysterious elementary school friend. (cont)

I like Jung Hoon a lot! He just seems like a cool guy who always wants to be helpful. I was bummed that the landlord granny wasn't going to be there this season but I'm looking forward to him interacting with the girls. I loved when he carried Eun's friend in and Ji Won gave him a fistbump haha. I appreciate that he gets to interact with all the girls, not just designated love interest (?) Eun. I really appreciated his talk with Ye Eun on the roof--even if he was incorrect in his assumptions, I really liked him putting forth effort to make sure he didn't make her uncomfortable and wanting to make sure she was alright. I'm glad he's finally in the show.

I was really really nervous about this season before it aired, but I'm enjoying it a lot and I'm extremely relieved.

i finally caught up with all new eps and i have very mixed feelings about new season. there are good parts, there are bad parts and then there are annoying parts. i think that new girl is a nice addition to the cast and i'm enjoying her story (even if i don't approve of some aspects of it) and her friend is mad cute. this is a very big plus this season.
at first i enjoyed writer's ake on yeeun in season 2 and that they didn't just shrug off the abuse she went through. writer actually took time to explore her trauma, reactions from others & etc. but that guy who grabbed her? and that she went back to him and thanked him and now ~is back to normal thanks to the mister nice guy!~ is...... i'm not feeling it and i hope this plot line won't develop as i'm expecting.
i still can't warm up to new eunjae. i tried really hard but i think it's time to give up. i don't understand why they hired new actress for old character because this face/off situation is pretty silly. i wish they just added new girl instead of doing this to eunjae. which brings me to next point - this isn't eunjae. this is impostor! in first ep she actually seemed like someone i got to know in first season but not anymore. it's a very different character with a new behavioral set lmao. also her constant exhagerrated surprise and wide open eyes? gives me uncanny valley feels
