Rescue Me/Save Me Ep 9-10 Discussion Post

Synopsis: A girl is surrounded by suspicious people and quietly whispers, “Save me!” in a dark neighborhood alleyway, and a couple of unemployed youths hear her and run to her rescue. They discover that she’s trapped in some kind of pseudo-religious cult and try to help her, but what ensues is a sequence of horrifying tension-filled events that make us wonder more about the science of the human psyche.

I'm not sure if she's completely together mentally yet but her reaction to Sang Mi being hit was a positive sign to me.

I knew they got her out too early for it to be over. Sanghwan is so naive. His trash father only cares about money and votes, no way he would interfere with a popular local cult whose leader can make his congregation vote for him. Disappointed but not surprised about the cops, common knowledge that they don't want to interfere with domestic violence issues. Men with power are there to maintain the power structure not destroy it. Don't want women to start getting uppity and thinking they have rights.
Dongchul remains precious and my new favorite actor.

I'm glad Sang Mi realized that she has to take them down from the inside. I kept waiting for her to get caught faking in that feeding scene but maybe cult leader actually thinks he managed to break her.

Dong Cheol was awesome this week and that phone call/moment in the car had me worried but he made it out of there in one piece.

I did not see that ending scene coming at all. I wonder if cult leader sought out Sang Hwan dad or if the dad wanted to meet with him? Was it the secretary connecting them so that she can be apart of the network of people connected to the spiritual father and thus gather dirt on him/the cult as a way of preventing Sang Hwan from going to the press?

i this drama is going really well for me. excited for what sangmi has planned and omg dongcheol is just so A1 i love him.
