JYP wants to resign as CEO?

JYP (Park Jin Young) revealed on SBS Power FM's Park So Hyun's Love Game radio show that he wishes to quit producing and only sing by summer time next year.

On the radio broadcast he said:

"It feels good to be back on the radio after such a long time. I'm so happy I can sing the songs that I like and that people recognize me as a musician and not just as a producer and CEO. I really only want to be a musician next year."

JYP delivered the good news of the popularity that the Wonder Girls have gotten after appearing on FOX TV's So You Think You Can Dance. He also chose this particular radio show to appear on because Park So Hyun has been a good friend of his since his debut 15 years ago.

"My dream is to retire my duties as a boss in June. I've already sort of stopped my duties as the boss of JYP Asia and instead, I've been working as JYP USA. I've been very busy in America with my duties as a road manager. I want to finish up activities of all JYP artists by June and just focus on dancing and singing. I want to just spend the rest of my life making music. I'm most happy when I perform as a musician."

Looks like the man is a bit tired from all the producing and CEO work. But can you blame him when he's got to have a lot on his plate managing hit groups like 2PM, 2AM and the Wonder Girls?

It's nice that he devotes himself to his own music, but wow. I can't imagine a 2PM or Wonder Girls album without a single JYP song on it. And who's gonna guide them? Is he gonna stop being a mentor officially too?

After rethinking on the matter, I do respect his decisions.
He sure is a great producer and composer for that matter, but if he wants to do what he loves then we can't stop him.

And it sounds like he's going to be working on JYP USA anyway so he won't be completely gone.
Besides if he said he already sort of stopped working on JYP Korea then it shouldn't be that big of a problem since 2PM and 2AM are still going strong ^_^

I'm sure he's not the ONLY one running the entire company. There's definitely a board of other people who are capable of keeping things going without him always around. I've only met some of the lower branches of those people but even they were very capable and competent, so I'm sure those directly underneath him are ready for the job.

So here's to seeing a stronger and better JYPE!!! ^_^
I'll support him no matter what he does anyway =] and pursuing his dreams and passion is one of those things. After all, it's HIS turn to have some fun once again on stage after working so hard to promote his "children"~ =]
We should be glad there's such a person with so much (actual) passion for the things he does instead of just sitting back and telling others what to do.

Isn't Rain not the CEO of J Tune either? I'm sure JYP would still have some influence on everything the company does regardless of his position. And the way he puts it, he hasn't been working that much in the Asia branch anyway.
