Outside of my stan goggles;

The song isn't bad. But in the midst of this onslaught of Tropical House( or whatever people are calling this sound) it's definitely middle of the road. I was surprised at her sing/rap verses. I'm also elated that she wasn't pushed into singing in a higher range than what's comfortable for her.

Video is perfect. Wouldn't change a thing. It's silly and gorgeous, which feels appropriate for Sunmi. Hopefully when we get a full mini in the coming months she'll get to play around with better sounds.

This also just feels so much more Sunmi to me. It's so much FUN. While I liked 24 hours and Full Moon, they didn't feel like they had much life to them, which was weird to me because she always struck me as being pretty high energy in variety/interviews.

(im korean, my korean is not nearly as good as my english but im fluent enough to make friends/i communicate with my family primarily in korean)

ive mainly heard gashina being used as a mildly derogatory term for women, kind of like gheezibeh. but ive seen translations online saying it just means girl in some satoori/kind of korean countryside dialects

but phonetically gashina can also sound like "are you leaving" and from what i heard in the chorus they seem to be using that play of words

can also phonetically sound like a reference to thorns, which i thought they were using with the rose logo?

This is definitely a step outside of her normal vocal performances. But normal was also under one of the big 3 SK music companies so this may be more of what she wants to do.
