Happy Friday! It’s going to be a beautiful weekend here, so I’m excited for it. Every week I go through the charts in the past for this day and post the top three songs. Then, I pick out three more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, let’s see what was on top for the 3rd week in August, 2014.


#3 Girls’ Day “Darling”
I think I remember not liking this song and video when it first came out. But now I love them both! I adore the MV, I think it’s both so freakin cute and sexy at the same time. The outfits are so cute! OP also wears the same thing when she washes her car.

#2 Block B “HER”
I remember the chorus of this more than the rest of the song. I don’t think I’ve ever fully seen the MV before. Slightly ot, it took weeks of OP watching Insolent Roommate to realize that Jihoon is the tall guy from the group oops.

#1 Sistar “Touch My Body”
Summer Queens! Another video that I think is both sexy and cute, I love all the outfits so much! After all these years I’m still lusting over Dasom’s watermelon shorts. The song is still so much fun, I love a good horn solo. I didn't like it at first, but it's come full circle lol.

#6 HA: TFELT “Ain’t Nobody”
She looks and sounds so amazing, and that choreography is soooo great! I haven’t watched this in forever, and my first reaction this time is still the same from the first time I saw it…baby girl where are your shoes?!?

#10 f(x) “Red Light”
I’m pretty sure this isn’t my favorite song from them, but it’s still my favorite concept that they’ve ever done. They all look so amazing too! Ohhhh, Luna *hearteyes*

f(x)'s Red Light concept was beautiful amazing show stopping etc etc. They all looked A+. Luna's blue hair is my ultimate girl group look, I'm still obsessed with it years later.

HER makes me so happy, I absolutely love that song and video. As much as I adored Toy, I want Block B to come back with another fun catchy song like this.

This Flashback Friday especially makes me wistful for a time when I had a steady stream of new songs I liked, this has been a rough year for me and kpop.

Surprised there aren't many comments about Darling? I started following Girl's Day with their cute image (Hug Me Once) so it was nice to have a sort of throwback to that image. IMO Darling was their best song and I wish they would do something like that again. They haven't had a comeback since like, 2015?

And ofc Red Light is a kickass song. I don't have anything else to say but I still love that song too haha.

Enjoyed all of these songs but Sistar Touch my body is what got me more into girl groups. I had enjoyed some girl groups songs but didn't really follow any of them. Sistar is who had me want to check out more girl groups and listen to more girl group songs.

I love Sistar and I am so sad that they have now disbanded!!

Block B Her loved it and when are they going to have a comeback. I miss Block B!
