“There was such a large crowd at the airport in Jakarta that my feet became tangled up and my body was also, so it was a very dangerous situation. I actually fell to the floor, and I trembled and couldn’t stop crying. Perhaps because I looked like I was in danger, the security guard on site came from behind me and lifted me up, which also startled me. I was anxious because of the recurring physical contact from behind me and to my sides, and I couldn’t find any order. I am very upset because I think some of the people who were waiting for me also fell and were injured. Also, it wouldn’t have been intentional, but there was recurring contact with parts of my body, my behind and my chest, as well as colliding and pulling… I was taken aback by that and couldn’t get ahold of myself. That is why I couldn’t appear my best when I arrived in Jakarta for the first time in a while. I’m so sorry to the fans who waited, and please, I hope order will be kept so that we do not get hurt. You are our fans who are the most loving and kind-hearted, and can understand each other, so I will think of today’s events as just an accident. I hope that no one is hurt.”

I'm glad she's all right,though she still looks shaken in that video? Idk if maybe I'm projecting this, I've always had a phobia about large crowds and stampedes and whatnot so I can't imagine going through this and not being traumatized. But anyway, if she didn't have her own security detail because of some negotiation tactic, SME is trash. If she didn't have her own security because they didn't see this coming, SME is trash. Whether they're incompetent or malicious or both, they're utter trash and that official statement was spineless. At this point I'm honestly hoping one or more of them pull a Jessica and call it quits, I'm so done with SM's bullshit.

Also, in case this incident wasn't horrible enough, I've been seeing some disgusting racist comments about Indonesians because obviously people can't seem to condemn bad behavior without making generalizations about an entire nationality.

I'm sure Taeyeon is still shaken up about it even just a little mildly. Tae's post kind of played it down but having strangers grab her in those places without her consent must be traumatizing including all the stress that was coming down on her during that time. :(

Nah I saw a lot of the pics and videos of what went on, she looked scared and very uncomfortable. I'm not surprised she ended up crying. I only saw one manager with her, idk if they had any other staff, but the security came through eventually since the crowd was really bad.

Jakarta was also where Key and Jonghyun got hurt upon their arrival as well years ago. It seems like a recurring problem. Maybe SM should do something about it, or stop sending their artists there.
