Taeyeon went Jakarta today and was essentially mobbed by "fans" trying to take pictures of her. People there said she eventually fell to the ground and was helped up. Then she just went to the ground and didn't get up for several seconds after getting through a security checkpoint. They also reported that they saw her crying.

Not that any form of violence is excusable, but if I were an idol, I know I would probably end up lashing out if something like this were to happen to me. when i saw the fancams of the incident earlier i was??? like i've seen some awful shit happen with idols at the airport before (other times with soshi, nct and bts getting chased down, other groups getting crowded in on, fans crowding in on shinee's jonghyun and injuring him years ago, etc.) but i haven't seen something like this in awhile.

idgi. like i don't get why it's so hard for "fans" to keep their distance from and respect idols. there's a difference between an airport being crowded and crowding in on someone at an airport, and obviously security knew that a celebrity was flying in? they should've made a safe space for her to walk in or had her take a private exit. i feel so bad for her like she's obviously upset and embarrassed and yet she's still apologizing to fans. (like i know not everyone was crowding in on her and if some who weren't were hurt i hope they're okay but the others??? not fans.)

I came here because I saw her IG and thought something serious must've happened, jfc this is so so awful. There were updates all over my TL last night about TWICE being grabbed and touched inappropriately at the airport in Vietnam and I was furious but wanted to believe it was something that wouldn't happen again in the future (because it's unfortunately so common among rookie groups with young fandoms that chill out and learn how to behave like adults as they get older), but the fact that a ten-year veteran idol was treated with this kind of disrespect... It shouldn't happen to anyone but I'm just so angry for her and every idol who's suffered like this because of thoughtless entitled fans. She's too kind to still want to think the best of them after being put through that. I hope she can recover well.
