Choi Joon Hee Revealed To Be Out Of The Hospital And Away From Her Grandmother

Choi Joon Hee, the 14-year-old daughter of late actress Choi Jin Sil, has been released from the hospital.

After being admitted to a hospital in Seoul on August 8, she was discharged three days later on August 11. Comedienne Lee Young Ja, who is known to have been close to Choi Jin Sil and her children, helped Choi Jun Hee with the hospital discharge process.

After being discharged from the hospital, Choi Jun Hee did not return home to her brother and maternal grandmother. Instead, she decided to stay with her grandaunt, a close family friend who is not directly related to her by blood but raised her since she was born.

The accusations of Choi Joon Hee’s abuse allegations against her maternal grandmother are currently under investigation by the Seoul Seocho Police Station. They conducted an interview of Choi Joon Hee with a child psychologist, where she requested for her maternal grandmother’s custody to be taken away.

to shorten the story: she wrote a long post on fb explaining that she as physically, mentally, and emotionally abused by her grandmother (who's her primary caregiver), and wants out. she's the daughter of an actress (choi jin-sil) and a former baseball player (jo seung-min, who was a cheating & abusive a-hole to jin-sil) who both committed suicide, and the niece of an actor/singer (choi jin-young) who was joon-hee & her brother's caregiver/guardian before his suicide in 2010.

I'm disappointed but not surprised by those comments. It reminds of a Hello Counsellor episode where a little girl was upset about her grandmother mistreating her and favouring her older sister and her concerns were dismissed while she was told to be more cheerful and kind to her grandmother, essentially telling a child to earn an adult's love.
