A fansite took a picture of D.O's shopping bag which she didn't know had a box of cigarettes in it. The raison cigarette was captured in it. Fans noticed that it was cigarette and asked the fansite to take down the picture. The picture has already been taken down right now, but it has already spread all over the internet.

meh, a lot of ppl smoke. i still don't understand why they'd do it if they know the consequences/harms/risks of it but i do get ~certain~ reasons, it's just, there are better outlets for stress relief and all?? also i especially don't get smoking when ur a singer - my cousin also p seriously sings (although she doesn't want to become a singer) but has been smoking for like 5 yrs now? so i'm just ??? why are u ruining ur voice like that???

I remember when SHINee first debuted, a pic came out from when they were trainees right before debut and it was of Onew and Minho smoking by a back door w/stairs leading down -- I think they must've been on break from practice and it might've been behind the SM building (not for sure about whether it was the SM building since I've never been there lol). Anyway, they had barely debuted and someone made the mistake of re-posting that pic to SHINee's soompi forum and all the users and even iirc some mods came in and bullied the poster out of the forum for ~stirring up trouble/rumors~ and trashing their just-debuted oppas. I swear, some fans are just so over the top with their blind protectiveness over these idol guys.

D.O. is my fave in EXO and I really don't care if he smokes. He's old enough to make that decision for himself.

Illinois cracked down on smoking by making it more expensive and pretty much everywhere is a non-smoking area that I am barely around smoking. Unless I'm outside at a bar tbh. My sick ass thought I could smoke but my body refuted that real fast.I don't mind the smell (especially of menthols) but I also don't care for secondhand smoke ya feel? SK and their smoking is ridiculous though. Cigs can kill you but if you have a marijuana in these streets you're screwed for life.

I can respect the frustrations of fans regarding smokers, though. I don't know what the laws are like in Korea, but I lived in a place where smoking in restaurants/arcades/other places was still a thing for a while. It was extremely frustrating to be stuck inhaling other people's smoke. I'd end up nauseated and with a headache every time, and once my host sister and I had to change seats three times at a restaurant because people kept lighting up next to us.

If it's a situation like that, then the implication isn't just that your idol does unhealthy things in his own time, but also that he's probably inflicting them on other people.
