follow up to this post. (tw for those who haven't seen) dispatch released an article within the last hour with a break down of what apparently happened with onew. the people who were interviewed are two who were taken in as witnesses to the police.
5:30AM: Onew entered the Gangnam club with non-celebrity friends. It was reported that he was already drunk at this time. They ordered two bottles of champagne, finished one and, according to Witness B, Onew was seen just after staggering drunkenly around.
6:30AM: While by the stage, Onew made contact with A. Witness B states that he was unable to keep his balance and grabbed on A's leg for support. "Onew was pretty much unconscious. I think he touched her leg when he fell." One of Onew's friends reportedly apologized to A after she asked why she had been touched by him, emphasizing that Onew was drunk and hadn't mean to touch her.
6:50AM: A staff member at the club told Dispatch that Onew was unable to stand at this point and tried to sit at a table. A was located on a platform on the stage near where his table was and he grabbed onto her leg for support. [Edit: later translations say she was dancing on the table he was standing on, which can be seen below.]
7AM: Onew's friends apologized for both incidents but A felt that both had been on purpose so she called the police to report harassment. When the police arrived Onew was questioned at the scene but, according to Witness B, was not able to properly answer the questions asked by police due to his level of drunkenness.
7:40AM: Onew, A, Witness B and club staff had arrived at the nearest police station at this point. [this is where the report ends so I'm assuming after is when the charges were dropped.]

In either case, I hope the woman is okay and recovering. I've been groped, grabbed, held etc on nights out and it can really shake you up.

Date: 2017-08-12 03:48 pm (UTC)so this is even worse than i thought. i originally thought that he only bumped into her and accidentally brushed her chest area or whatever, but reading that he was about to pass out because he was so drunk is even worse. i knew that he was rumored to be a heavy drinker but damn. why did his friends not stop him? especially since he's a celeb and they knew that this would hurt his image?
gonna be interesting to see how SM reacts now that his drinking problem is public. i hope they dont force him to leave for the army, he clearly needs help.

As drunk as he sounds, I'd bet he blacked out and has no memory of it happening. I had a roommate get super drunk in college (almost enough to take him to get checked out, but he was insistent that we not) and his boyfriend brought him home immediately but he still got up to all this ridiculous shit in our common area. In the morning he remembered none of it.
Get help Onew. This shit isn't acceptable.
