VIXX's N Faints During Outdoor Performance

Soompi reports: On August 9, VIXX’s N suddenly fainted during a performance in Gyeongju.

A source that was present revealed, “N fainted on stage. He was helped off stage by the VIXX members and manager and was carried on a stretcher to the medical station.”

Jellyfish just released a statement regarding N posted on the official fan cafe:


Hello.
This is Jellyfish Entertainment.

We apologize for causing fans to worry because of what happened today (the 9th) during the outside performance in Gyeongju, and we are here to inform you of N’s current condition and future activities.

Due to the hot weather and excitement at the venue, N experienced dizziness while performing, and, not being able to continue, he left the stage and went to the infirmary.

Afterward, the other five members finished the performance, and N received first aid from the medical staff on call at the venue and rested.

And after the performance ended, N visited a nearby hospital to check his condition.
Fortunately, it was confirmed nothing is wrong with his health, but we plan to make sure he gets sufficient rest and focuses on recovering his health after this.

Once again, we apologize for causing fans to worry, and we will continue to check his condition and be more careful about taking care of his health.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu i HATE when idols are like "ill work harder~" in response to things like this. it is truly one of my least favorite things about kpop culture. (or, likewise mcs having fake concern, but really just praising how "hard" idols are working when things like this happen.)

it was weird how some of them kept dancing while looking at him laying on the floor. kpop work ethic is so strange and i always forget it until something like this happens again.

From the video, it looks like they thought he just tripped and ate shit. Hongbin went to offer a hand, but saw Leo stop and go over when it was clear he wasn't getting back up on his own.

Idk how bad was Korea today, but Tokyo had around 90% humidity levels (according to the Weather Channel app), and it felt impossible just to breath outside. If Seoul was anything close to that, I can't even imagine how it felt to try to dance in that situation...

in the NB comments, some VIXX fans pointed out that N and Leo were the only ones wearing long slevves, and that's b/c they both have complexes about their arms. Leo has a scar, and N apparently has something that causes him to have fatty lumps on his arms. But he could have had a lighter weight to, and I'm sure all the dieting and lack of sleep idols go through didn't help in this situation either.

he shouldn't have to feel like he has to apologize for something like this. the venue was poorly set up add that with really hot clothing and just water to drink and i'm not even surprised one of them fainted. if you watch the videos from before this, they were all sweating profusely. they should have been given sports drinks or something to replenish what they were quickly loosing. some of them looked dizzy and out of it in some performances, hyuk even had to crouch at one point for a bit :/
