I haven't liked too much from this years releases my faves are crystyle, the war, limitless, half of taeyeons album and half of aoas album

Zoo is everything (as is Red Flavor) but overall idc for half of that album, whereas with Rookie I felt like every song could have been the title track (esp. Talk To Me feat. iconic la-la-las). Still, almost 3 perfect songs out of 5 is more than good enough.

idk, personally I've enjoyed a lot of releases this year. Off the top of my head, Red Velvet and NCT brought it every time, then there's EXID's Eclipse, KARD's Hola Hola, CLC's Crystyle, Jessi's Un2verse, and that last Seventeen mini. I hope I get to add Blackpink to that list soon -_-

The thing I like about Blackpink's music (besides the production) is how distinct each girl's voice is. I don't get that often in k-pop groups (regardless of gender), it usually takes time for me to tell the members apart. I felt like PWF in particular highlighted that.

Can't believe how successful they've been with just 5 songs out. I wish year #2 will bring them plenty comebacks with more than 2 songs at a time :P

Oh, and fave BP moment is def. Boombayah, everything about it. I watched the video for the 1st time by chance and thought "yep, I'm back into k-pop now". They really dragged me back after my 2NE1 days back in 2010-11(?).

honestly for me it feels like, it's only been a year? lol i'm really not used to YG group having this many activities in a year. it's good that they're changing tho. and also 5 "title" songs for a debut year is quite a lot i think, bc people don't listen to b-side songs anyway, esp for GG where people don't even bother to buy their albums. good strategy i think. as always w/yg, w/minimal effort, comes great profits.

it's crazy to see just how popular they are internationally. i'm subscribed to some fancam channels on youtube and whenever they post fancams of blackpink the views are so damn high, sometimes even reaching 1 million. i think they might be more popular internationally than 2ne1 (then again, it was a different time)

i really can't wait for their physical release, i'm curious what their b-sides will be like (but watch their first physical release be title track + 1 or 2 b sides + all their other released songs)

I enjoyed the dance practice video where jisoo had terrible dance moves, and then the discovery that she was dorkiest of the four, first impressions made me think she would be quite bland. They are quite different from their first MVs persona

I need someone to explain how and why BP is so popular when they don't even have an album out. It's amazing.

I remember hating BOOMBAYAH because it sounded like just a bunch of noise put together. But then it grew on me. The video is captivating and fun to dance along to especially since the dance is pretty easy but requires lots of energy. It's just a song to get lit to! So I guess finding the charm of BOOMBAYAH is my favorite moment haha. I replayed that video for like an hour!

I think I'd be a casual fan if they had more content. They don't seem that outstanding, but at the same time I do find their five songs better and more daring than a lot of the top girl groups right now (save for As If Your Last-- that songs sounds so dated and just bad imo). Yet I'm still scratching my heads on how they got so big in one year
