The Summer Sonic Festival is an annual two- or three-day rock festival held at the same time in Osaka and Chiba. The majority of the bands playing in Osaka the first day go to Chiba the following day and vice versa. Hey, did you have anymore thoughts on Bom's two Insta Lives? If she wasn't already so random and bubbly, the video probably would've concerned me. I figure she was answering fans' questions, all while being a little tired. And the YG and Teddy thing was probably an answer to something like, "What about your solo album?" (I remember someone asking her if she missed Minzy, and she answered yes, so that's where my theory came from.)

The first video had me shaken up negl. The 2nd one was much better (imo) so I could explain the one before without resorting to extremes (basically "she was very tired" instead of "she's having a breakdown"). Even so, there's "being random" and then there's " not telling apart what's real and what's not", like all the YG comments. There's also a small language barrier so I'm not taking everything at face value.

Regardless of her mental state, which really might just be ok after all idk, some things made me quite sad. She seems really hurt over BlackPink, not by the girls themselves ofc but the whole brand you could say. One of the very first things she said in the first live was if her fans have moved on to BP now, if we think they're better, and she'd always get agitated every time she read "BlackPink" in the comments, she respond with "what did you just say? it's BlackJACKS here" or sth along those lines. She would always follow up these comments with "oh, I shouldn't say that" "I shouldn't ask that", "it's a joke, the girls are cute" but still, it's obvious she's troubled. And I feel conflicted cause yes, I have moved on to BP now (even if she's still my all time #1).

I'd be mad too if my fans passed me up for my younger, cuter counterparts. But keep in mind that fans brought that up. I'm sure Bom wouldn't have brought it up on her own. But you know how fans can be, especially fans of YG acts, who expect you to love every YG newbie who comes by. I'm not necessarily taking up for Bom, but I kind of wish that fans didn't bring it up/she didn't say anything about it. Girl's no longer a part of YG anyway. She doesn't need to comment on BLACKPINK. At this point, all she has to bank on is the future 2NE1 (hopefully not 2NE3) reunion. She has no career right now, she's too known to have a smaller gig. This makes me feel bad for Bom all over again...

Oh yeah, I forgot to add. I also got sad when she said that "All I've been doing this time is makeup" and "I'm thinking of how I'm going to come out again all the time" or sth along those lines. Idt she's looking for a label herself -she's probably wishing YG takes her back ugh- so I hope other labels somehow approach her? Like, 'You and I' sold over 5 million copies and 'Don't Cry' passed 3 million, how many kpop soloists can pull that? Even with her image in the trash, surely smaller labels can see the potential, no?

I'd also say she could be a make-up artist, but she can be hit-or-miss on that. lol I'm also sure she desperately wants to go back to YG, which is probably why she was so excited about announcing that BLACK LABEL deal. It'll be an uphill battle getting into another label. We're not sure how Bom would stack up now in terms of numbers. Just because she did great numbers before doesn't mean the same would happen now. (Those were different times. Nowadays, a lot of K-Pop acts, even known, struggle to get to 1 million downloads.) That was 6 years ago. Bom's just done featurings since. Not to mention, of course, her reputation is shot. She'd be great risk to any record company who decided to take her. On that note, I'mma need for Tiger JK/T to hook her up! How long have we been talking that collabo between them? (4 years!) Seriously, Bom, contact them! They've waited long enough! (And so have we!)

Would she really be a risk though? Sure, she'll never sell 5M+ again for all those reasons you listed but she's still got an established fanbase without any need of promo, that has to be a dream for a nugu company. A decent font for a single cover, studio time, an animated mv, and a stage for one ~intimate performance~ to upload on YouTube later is all the budget it'd take. There's no way she wouldn't turn a profit if they did the bare minimum, like, no way she'd do worse than Minzy.

Well, yeah.... a lot of idols are able to rebound after scandal.
But since there was no (proactive) damage control, this new company would have to take on the responsibility of rehab-ing her image. I'm not sure any company would want that added on to taking her in. Big loyal fan base or not. (It's a shame her fan base is going to waste for sparse internet activity.)
At this point, I'm not sure Bom WANTS the non-luxuries that come from being in a small company. (That, and the fact that she rides for YG so hard, like that will somehow make him see that he should take her back, when YG gives her his ass to kiss.)

P.S. No one could do worse than Minzy, but that's another story for later. (Although she did better in physicals than I thought she would.)
