I figured she was holding out so that they'd support her singing. She only started acting b/c they forced her to, and she's even gone on record saying that she initially didn't like acting (but has come to enjoy it), and that she joined JPE to be a singer. She's always pressing for more music comebacks. It's sad how they let miss A die to keep Suzy's solo/actress image.

I hope it means she was able to negotiate a better contract in which she'll actually see more of the money she's making, have better promotions and that she got her own team.

Yup. I really hope that it took so long because she was making them work and beg for her to stay (because lbr they need her more than she needs them) and that she used it to have the upper hand. Because it’s not like other companies weren't after her, all the big ones (in special Sidus, Keyeast, and rumor has it even YG) wanted her, as she is the female idol in Korea that has the highest value attached to her name (she makes the same as GD in cfs, she makes more than big actresses, only losing to SHK and JJH I believe), so really have her in their rooster is a dream for anyone.

From the CEO commentary (about giving her more support than before) I hope it means she called them out for not supporting her at all (which was complete bullshit, they never stepped up to promote her as a company, even in small ways like getting the idols to tweet about her projects, which she did to everyone and we all know that when she makes a post about something it gets a boost, Laboum is living proof). I hope it means that she also has a personal team, instead of begging for twice leftovers, and that she'll get a bigger cut from the money she brings.

But luckily her new contract is only 3 years, so unlike Fei that 3 years makes a lot of difference, it’s not like they can fuck her over too much during those years.

I was lowkey hoping she would leave because JYP never managed her as well as they should have given her success. Suzy seemed to take the decision carefully so i think she must have made the best decision for herself. As long as she is happy that's the main thing.

I don't think this is true.

Suzy said she would decide to resign or not with JYPE after she filmed her drama, and seems it was right as she made her decision after the drama finished filming.

Also, I was kinda annoyed how JYPE kept releasing info about how Suzy didn't resign with them yet, pressuring her to decide soon or keep ´´loyal´´ to JYPE.

Why would anyone not want to sign Suzy, the highest paid female idol in the CF world, one of the biggest in the industry, who raises sales up to 200% and only has big names under her belt, and that the income of one CF alone is able to keep a company afloat and fund many comebacks etc?
