aw jisoo guessed it was joy right away! its heartbreaking seeing joy cry and how as a trainee, she lost confidence in singing bc she was scared of ppl's gazes, but she did rly well and im glad she went on the show.
Yes I'm really happy she went too, she already did singing-focused shows but with Wendy and Seulgi who both have more power and outshine her. It was time she got the focus just on her singing! Joy's voice is so sweet and distinct, I love it, and I hope she'll gain some confidence again ;_;

She has very distinct tone (which I really like), it's almost impossible not to recognize it if you've heard RV before. I hope she regains her confidence eventually, her voice is so lovely, she seems to have an amazing personality and she is very pretty and charming too. Who was she against? He sounds like Sunggyu (but it's not him).
i love joy's voice, it's so pretty and really easy to recognize, kind of like sunny's voice (it gets outshined when put against obviously stronger vocalists but when it's on it's own, it's amazing)
i hope she gets more popularity and respect as a singer from this ! + i now understand why joy sometimes looks really nervous and uncomfortable when she performs after she explained that she gets scared on stage ugh protect her she's so precious
it wasn't impressive but she's one of those idols that have a really sweet tone that i enjoy
the only real issue is that she doesn't sing with any support. every time she went higher i was scared that she would go flat. she has a voice that's great for harmonizing
i think this is the best she's ever sounded. to me, she seems like she strains a lot usually and is not that comfortable with the higher pitches rv songs can have/her voice is prone to breaking or just idk sounding off but she was lovely and stable here. i know she will improve even more, hope she gets more and more confident about it
joy really is the real life version of her sorim character from lovely love lie without all the unnecessary boy drama. i love that jisoo knew it was her right away. joy has always sounded better singing trot imo, where she seems to be more in her elements. i'm also really gonna miss the red hair when she gets rid of it. she looks stunning this era. a real life disney princess.
joy isn't a strong vocalist and her support most of the time is... well it doesn't exist but i really love her tone and enjoy listening to her. i remember when rv did "would u" and it didn't even sound like rv song to me because the difference between a song having her vocals and not... it was glaringly obvious. i'm glad she had this opportunity and actually advanced to next round before reveal and i hope this helped her to gain more confidence.
she sounded less shaky than usual here and generally more confident. her voice really suits ses' music! she's lovely and i hope she keeps improving <333
