Yura is safe, her family is well off, that's how she probably could afford her place since Hyeri was able get one just this year and had to took loan too.
Once you are able to pay off your trainee debt, you can start making some decent money. Yura has been pretty active considering she's not the one people think about when you think busy girl's day member (Hyeri) I also believe they've said before that Yura is pretty good with money. (I might be wrong but I think that's what I remember) Her family is also loaded, so it's likely that helps. I imagine if she's purchasing she probably still took a small lone to make a large down payment to reduce the monthly cost to something manageable.
Most of the idols you see with nice homes, typically have made money by investing what they have in businesses/buildings etc, so their property gains is what brings in the cash to allow them to live more lavishly.
im moving into a new apartment soon (crying bc i dont wanna leave my old one ;__;) and i wish it would be as luxorious as yuras or seolhyuns but student/single apartments are tiny and ugly af
None of these are my taste; I like industrial looking ones like the one from Jessica & Krystal, but it seems there's not much of that in Korea from what I've seen.

a lot of houses in our neighborhood are asking for 150k to 500k. most of them don't have any yard space, either. there's not much cell phone coverage here, so it'd be cool to own a couple acres one day and lease it out for a tower. maybe if i hit the lottery!
lol damn cities charging that $$$ for enough space to lie down sideways and maybe flip over 1.5 times. Toronto houses and apts are easily 1mill now and the turnaround time for selling houses is in the minutes to hours range.
Seolhyun's tumblr collecting hobby is fine and all, no judgements, but the way she is displaying them ruins the apartment. But maybe it's just because it looks so empty.

God I wish. I was saving up for a condo downpayment (in Portland no less LMAO) but that's gone now thanks to my business tanking and having to dip into savings to make ends meet :( The fact I have so much student loan debt (and now IRS debt, yay!) means I'm basically fucked until I'm 50, and that's being generous.

I don't think your taste is off. It's ugly and cheap-looking, like you said a Target or Bed Bath & Beyond dorm room ad. I've noticed a lot though that in SK (and China too) rich ppl might have large nice apts but the interior design is always either cheap as fuck looking or tacky as hell.
Wow. That's really... unfortunate? I can't imagine spending all that money on an apartment and not having it look decent. Like, might as well save your money and live in a small place and spend the cash on decor or hobbies or give to charity. I guess if I had the money and those place I'd gut them and do a transformation. But I watch to much HGTV. lol
I think a lot of the nouveau riche in SK and China (and other Asian countries) have zero taste. Or else they have just enough money to buy the real estate but not quite enough to make the interior really nice. IDK it's not impressive to me bc I hate big homes & apartments. I've been staying with my parents and their house is too big for me -- I get a bit freaked out at night if I'm in the house by myself, thank goodness for the dogs & cat to keep me company.
I'm like that too. We only have a one bedroom and I sleep in the living room and tbh it's creepy at times. Mostly because it has a storage closet that's huge and I'm irrationally fearful at times that someones in there because I can hear the neighbors loudly through that. I prefer small studio apartments. I want a large bathroom but a tiny apartment because I'm ridiculous. lol
I admit I have no idea how property ownership work in Korea, but not long ago Hyeri on Radio Star was proud to move her family to apartment in Seoul and it was leased one, for which she used all of her savings and take a loan too, and Hyeri has longer winning streak than Seolhyun.
Depends on where else they've placed their money. Yura is in a unique spot cause she would have been a rich socialite most likely if she hadn't become an idol. But a lot of idols put their money into property/businesses and end up making money off of those things. If these girls invested their capital well, it's pretty likely that this isn't going to break them. Also if they can manage to own the apartment before the idol money runs out, that's huge property value in case shit hits the fan.
