The Eve is like an intro to KoKoBop, also a bop.
The first 4 tracks in general are actually pretty good, I've never liked more than 3 tracks off an EXO album so I have to say this is their best effort yet based on that.

Diamond and Touch It are typical EXO filler, delete.
Chill is better than both of them, quality filler imo. I'll add this to the decent tracks list.
Walk On Memories will never get replayed but it's pleasant, I guess?
Going Crazy has a beat but that's about it lol. I'm expecting a Limitless chorus with that build up, instead I mostly get a beat drop.

Chen was coming for blood in forever I'm shook. I'm sad that song wasn't his promo song bc he made that song for me. Also that trap sounding rap part got me so confused like I didn't know migos was into kpop lmao.

The production on this album is stellar and I dig how trendy it sounds.

Other standouts are my funky bae what u do which sounds like a h&m m83 song and I'm into it. Chen coming for my wig again in touch it, going crazy and "what's the situation" aka the eve.

I think I liked EXODUS more than this. I got pretty bored and then I listened to Going Crazy. I like that song and KoKoBop the most. :-/ On the third place it would be Touch It, then The Eve. I wish Chanyeol would sing more instead of rapping. He can do better ffs.

Forever= This doesn't sound like anything I've ever heard before but I'm loving it.
Diamond feels like a trash jam in the same vein as Twenty-Four.I can deal with it
Touch It is great, Chen was straight wilding when he wrote those lyrics.
Chill is a bit odd, it doesn't really stick in my head.Might need another few listens
Walk on Memories: Stunning, Minseok's falsetto killed me. Makes me feel very dreamy
Going Crazy is nice, Didn't go as hard as I hoped

I think people really disliked ex'act but I love that album a lot and this one doesn't come close to it for me AT ALL. There really isn't one song that grabs me. I like touch it and going crazy tho.

i love this album so much. the vocals, the harmonies, it's insane. great production. i think the eve and going crazy are my favorites so far. the only one i'm not particularly crazy about is walk on memories but even that one i'm still 50/50 on because i don't hate it, i just enjoy the rest more. this is the first time i'm not skipping a song on an exo album (it was usually at least one despite being exofucker69) so i'm incredibly happy with this album!!!

I'm really liking the songs on this album - more than E'xact tbh. Also after the mess that was Lotto, this is much better.

I'm glad I'm hearing much more of their RnB-ish sounds? Sounds that way to me.

I like this direction, but they have to work on their raps or eliminate them altogether. Loving The Eve and What You Do so far!

the Eve sounds really heartfelt in the lead up and the chorus is confident in the best way - I love it, Forever's chorus is my favvv - the falsettos in it are fantastic, I really enjoyed what u do, touch it's chorus is really catchy as well, the 2nd half of chill is really cool as well, walk on memories is a really pleasant song as well - I was really looking forward to a slow jam sort of song on this album like what if from the prev album and well, this is alright, and going crazy is a solid song overall.

I still like their vocals in kokobop the best but that siren-y drop really took away from that but eh.

All in all a really good album. I'll probably have to listen to it over a few times to really have any solid opinions. I really wish it was a bit more hard hitting, I love EXO for trying new things and doing them so, so well and making me like it. This does that but not as much as I wanted it to. I mean it's not /bad/ in the grand scheme of things, it's great in fact but I wish it was better lol

OKAY TRACK BY TRACK LEGGO:


THE EVE: This is an amazing track to start off. I was not expecting it. The saxaphone in the chorus is AMAZING.

KOKOBOP: It's a good summer jam, by far probably not my favorite on the album, but even being not my favorite, it's still better than some other title tracks that I initially didn't like by them. The video is super fun. Also it sounds like Sehun has been practicing his rap, because it sounds good! Get it, model!

WHAT U DO: Kyungsoo kills it for me in this one, per usual. I mean he kills it in every part he is handed, but I just loved his part. Also CHEN! Get it! Chanyeol singing should always be a thing.

FOREVER: This is a JAM IF I EVER HEARD ONE. Yeol and Sehun coming in so hard, and then the vocals. CAN THEY PLEASE STOP. BUT NEVER. EVER.

DIAMOND: THIS IS THE EXO SONG I HAVE BEEN PRAYING AND WAITING AND WANTING FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE. I CAN NOT GET ENOUGH OF THIS SONG. IT'S SO TRASH, AND PERFECT AND YES. BLOW UP AND GLO UP YES EXO YOU DRIV EME CRAZY AND YOU DO DO IT DAILY. This is like, so my type of music anyway so to hear these beautiful singers get so grungy and dirty but pretty at the same time? idk how to explain it but this is my favorite on the album by far. the whisper at the end is exactly the way it needed to end.

TOUCH IT: Jongdae... comon bro. lol i cant get over the lyrics. its a bop for sure. but like. omg lol jongdae. i know you were touring and stuff, but like, calm down bro.

speaking of calm: CHILL: This is probably my second favorite song on the album. I was feeling it okay, and then the beat dropped and i lost my crap and scared my dog because i screamed. it's a great song already, but the drop added so much depth to a pretty normal and to be expected exo song. I just want that beat to go on forever.

WALKING ON MEMORIES: A beautiful exo ballad to be expected, but the lyrics are relaly beautiful as well. I am never disappointed in their ballads.

GOING CRAZY: I cant believe they end on such a bop!

all in all, this was an incredible album. I know a lot of people crap on exact and super hate Lotto- i personally LOVED those albums and thought nothing could get better.
then when i saw the teasers, i wasnt super interested in any so i was really expecting to like the album like always but not have it trump exact. WELL. THAT DIDNT HAPPEN. This album is so lit and well produced. also kyungsoo sounds like a dream and i cant get enough. they also added a lot of little flairs in here (there's an 'mmm' in chill) that is like my favorite little snip of the song. it adds a lot.


ANYWAY MY EXO STAN GLASSES WILL ALWAYS BE ON AND WILL BE FOREVER. TRUE KINGS OF MY HEART.
