I have a job interview (over video call) tomorrow. Not too anxious since I actually like interviews so long as they're relatively lax, which I think this one should be. I really hate over-preparing my potential responses to interview questions since I think they always end up sounding obviously scripted, Just gonna go with the flow and wing it.

I'm just freaking out about the potential salary since it's an entry-level at a nonprofit and I think I'm overqualified on paper. But the org's mission is great and work environment seems so chill and it's conveniently located. idk I can't help comparing myself to my peers

Also why did it take me so long to find out that the new Planet of the Apes trilogy is amazing? I just watched the first movie last night and I'm still shook

I'm kinda interviewing for jobs atm too, and although i always "over-prepare" i find that it's best to just have a gist of what i would say and just go with the flow like what you said. i find i alw prep stuff the employer never asks or get asked sth i've never thought of, so i've stopped preparing so much before gg in. lol.

i work at a semi non-profit place as well and always cant help comparing myself to my friends (and i have a ton working in finance/banking/audit) pay-wise =/ but as long as you like the work, people, culture - i think it helps balance out the lower pay factor?

I went to one of my cousin's birthday party last night (she turned 18 and in my country we usually throw big parties as we become ~adults at this age) and I was disappointed by the whole thing. The kids spent more time smoking outside than dancing, the music was awful (by my intellectual standards; at one point I think the "dj" dabbled in the weddings playlist), the party started way too late and idk but it was overall sorta lame. I didn't have the budget or the fancy venue at my 18th birthday party but it was so much better. This party doesn't deserve the hangover I have to deal with for the rest of the day.

In other news, I finally got myself a bluetooth speaker. I've been meaning to get one for years but I didn't know which brand to buy nor was I sure I wanted to spend too much but then I kept seeing Jungkook with that JBL speaker hanging from his neck so I got pissed and bought the JBL Flip 3 (I even got a good deal on it). I am utterly in love with the sound. It's everything I wanted and more.

right now i'm just gonna take my own steps and make my own path, people been pushing me to conform and be "normal", but that's overrated. might as well be me and accept all the pain in between. surely happiness is somewhere along the road, eh?

also i finally watched lion. it's hauntingly aching. like i'm also stuck on a train looking for my way back home, so it made the watch much harder. but i'm glad i waited to watch it at my own time and pace, i appreciate it better now.

I got 3 lipsticks in the Pat McGrath matte lust presale yesterday and my bank acct is mad at me, but I'm so excited to get them and try them out.

Also I got a new iPhone last week and Spotify doesn't work on it: it'll play like 2 songs and then get stuck forever on an ad. The only way I can get around it is to turn my phone off and on again, but then the same thing just happens again -- play 2 or 3 songs, get stuck on an ad. I think it's a known bug in the new version of Spotify that the company just doesn't seem to care to fix. First world problems, but it sucks bc now I can't enjoy my playlists during my workouts. I've been listening to Pandora but I hate how it sets things -- I wanted to just listen to BTS so I was listening to Pandora's BTS radio and it only plays a BTS song like every 3 songs, most of the stuff is other random kpop songs.

hi omona. this week was a long week. we had a huge shake up at work yesterday. one of my managers in my department was let go. (there's now only 4 of us) huge blow, totally unexpected and shocking. we were all assured that our jobs are safe and it wasn't a department thing. I'm kinda nervous going to work today. wish me luck.

downloaded zico's album, but I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. I watched suspicious partner last night. I'm all set for tickets to go on sale for KARD. I'm so excited for this. bring it on!!

i'm seeing monsta x today and i have. uh. a fuckton of feelings, tbh. it doesn't feel real yet which is so weird: this is the only thing i've used my countdown app for in aaages and i'm still like, how is it today??? i'm so, so fucking excited today and i'm super thankful the venue is so small (i saw chvrches at a venue w/ a really similar layout & even on the mezzanine i could see lauren the whole time w/o looking at the screens, so) and i'm okay with not being toooo close to them for a lot of reasons. like killing my idols if need be, i'll cry during a few songs, etc. i'm sad “stuck” isn't on the setlist tho 🤧 and i'm still kinda sad hyungwon isn't in america w/ the rest of them—he sounds so good in “from zero” and i'm sad it'll just be the ar... for his part, ugh

i rlly just want my mx concert experience to beat out my los campesinos! one, at present. if anyone else is going i hope u have a gr8 time 💕

its officially slow season at work, ive dreaded this moment.
today imma clean up the packing slips, send out some catalogs, shred some checks, and clean up my cabinets.

also im eagerly refreshing monsta x's stubhub page, i dont want to go necessarily but i would like to see them. if i dont end up going i think im going to study my notes from korean 1 (since im taking korean 2 in the fall) and finish watching the gay and wondrous of caleb galleo.

also i did Pilates yesterday for the first time at my gym and it was the best. i was a lil weird out that our instructor was stretching us(not in the sense that he was invading our space but like no other instructor has done this before lol.) like we would do an exercise and he would go one by one and stretch a different body part. at the end he cracked out backs which is !!!!!!. tbh it felt really good.this class made me realize that i have no upper arm strength and i need to fix that asap!!

also does anyone here have children?? if so how did you get over cleaning a poopy diaper? im getting tired of bribing my sister to change our cousin's diaper. like im fine with pee but i cant do poop.

I'm laying in bed wondering why I can't be a rich person instead of getting up and getting ready for work. I saw Spider-Man last weekend and it made me so happy since he's my ultimate fave hero. It was hilarious and a lot more light hearted than I thought it would be and they was perfect! Other than that I feel so boring lately. I need to travel again and not just on a family vacation. I want to plan a trip out of the country but I have no clue where I would go and what would be the most affordable. Time to do my research.

I've been a member for a small while but never did a FFA or introduced myself. So here we go, I guess..

My names Tiff. I'm old af. Probably too old to be so into k-pop and fandoms the way I am, but whatever. I write poetry and I cry a lot over stupid shit.

K-pop wise BTS is my bias, and if you can't tell Suga is my major bias. My other fave groups are EXO (but mostly EXO-CBX), Monsta X, BlackPink, AOA, f(x), Sistar, etc. [ lol @ me since half those groups are disbanded now ._. ] Solo artist wise I like bolbbalgan4 (I know they are a duo, but they are practically not in a way), Hyolyn, Taeyeon, Shannon Williams, Amber Liu, etc.

I haven't been into k-pop that that long, so I feel very basic in my likes. I'm looking for more solo female artist who do ballads. I'm not sure if ballads is the correct term tbh, maybe slow jams is better. idk. My fave songs are 볼빨간 사춘기 - 나만 안되는 연애, Hyolyn - Love like this, Shannon Williams - Love Don't Hurt, etc. If you have any recs I'd appreciate it.

Outside of k-pop I like classic and 80's trashy rock, punk rock, 90's r&b, a lot of crappy 90's much tbh, and some metal/ hard rock. I also love superhero shows and movies and some comics. Mostly Marvel stuff. Spider Gwen is my fave right now. I'm not that into regular tv shows anymore. I love fashion and make-up, but I can't afford it.

Still working my shitty job. 7 weeks in, 17 people gone. We get free catered dining and had a company BBQ yesterday, but it's still shitty. Every week there are more and more things thrown on me. Not only am I expected to answer calls on the radio and answering 3-4 calls coming in within 3 rings, but the front desk isn't putting in information correctly (they're training new people). So now I have MORE calls clarifying info. And since the PM status girl was fired, they ask me to stay 2 hours overtime and have me do staffing for the next day. There are 2 managers there yet they know I have calls, looking at 2 computers at once, coordinating yet they still want me to fit it in.

I messed up when giving out rooms because management hired 4 new people but didn't give me a training schedule for them or put them in the system so I could assign them rooms. When I asked for a sheet, at first they told me to go by their trainers' schedules. Well how am I supposed to know WHO the new people are? They aren't even on the name list! I'm supposed to memorize all of them? So they agreed to do their jobs and give me updated info so I know who the people are, who they're with, and what credits they need. I had to "unassign" rooms and write their names on them, and I ended up having 4 rooms uncovered because I wrote a girl's name but somehow didn't write them on her list.

Also management told me to "tell her" when we have all rooms covered, because she would have had people do projects. Well I didn't know WHO WILL BE HERE until they showed up because she didn't update roll sheet. So I didn't know all rooms were covered until only a few minutes before her because 5 people came in when I didn't know they would asking for rooms. She also covered my lunch and didn't get all of the requests. I came back and realized I had to call one out and there were 2 guest requests for a feather free room due to allergies. One looked like it wasn't feather free and that the guest checked in the room. Which is a MAJOR liability. I tell coworkers of the dilemma and they remained unbothered. Front desk said "well keys have been made and the guest checked in". WELL CHECK THEM OUT. I called the housecleaner and she said "Well we weren't told and that's a lot of work. If we redo it, can you remove a credit?" ITS A LIABILITY AND YOUR JOB. I asked a errandboy to get feather free shit and he was like "Well I'm going to lunch soon." I spent half an hour investigating, even calling the manager who covered my lunch about it. She states they're 2 separate rooms, yet she didn't communicate it to workers. It turns out it was the same guest who just moved rooms because the 1st room wasn't feather free, but she gave me wrong info.

They also penalize you double time for calling out on holidays, but when I worked on the 4th of July I didn't get paid time and a half because I'm "new". Also I saw they pulled out union dues from my check, yet I don't get union representation until after my 90 day period. So I'm going to HR because that's not right. All of this for $11.75 an hour.

That being said, I had an interview 2 days ago. I have another phone interview and a face to face interview on Monday.

I SAW EXID LIVE AND GOT THEIR SIGNATURES

last sat i saw exid, snuper, knk and highlight live. the whole experience was amazing. i made an outfit inspired by exids night rather than day live stages and so many people complemented me (i even made some friends because of it haha). there was a day event and night event (concert). in the day event knk seungjun and jihun were judging a competition and i stood right next to them. i fanboyed hard and seungjun appreciated my love, he kept waving and throwing hearts and smiling. both of them even jammed along to songs etc (the fact he saw me will help to explain something later).

the queue for the concert was so long omg but i managed to be close because a friend saved me a place. during the queue exid popped out of the window and told us to chant up&down lol they were so cute. so in the actual concert everyone was amazing. first was knk and they were great live!!! their suits looked good and honestly seungjuns skin was shining lol i was a bit behind the barriers and im nearly 190cm tall so they spotted me. next was snuper and i lost my shit bc platonic love>>>>>> sebin is my bias and i kept screaming his name and he kept smiling so naturally i died. then they brough a fan on stage/serenaded her and had buckets of roses which they started to throw to the audience. SEBIN THREW ME ONE!!!!!! I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA COLLAPSE and then my friend caught another so she gave it to me lol snuper also performed a dance cover of bts with people they trained at a dance workshop which was cool. everyone became their fan tbh

then exid came on AND I LOST MY COOL!!! before this everyone was pushing me and i was squashed but after my screams for exid/junghwa/hani people knew to back away and made a circle around me so i could dance lol me and my friends also knew the fanchants so i think they appreciated it. i kept screaming junghwa name but i dont think she noticed lol i was jumping so hard the two snuper roses broke. they were iconic, amazing etc.

highlight was after and gikwang made me laugh so much with his dancing. they were also great but idk much about them so i wasnt that bothered. so then they announced an encore stage and everyone was like YASSSSSS. they had blow up beach balls, giant balloons filled with confetti, signed autographed balls for each group etc and they popped balloons/goofed around on stage/threw the signed balls to the crowd. MY LUCKY ASS CAUGHT SNUPERS ONE. I SWEAR ITS LIKE GOD WANTED US TO BE PAIRED THE WHOLE NIGHT!!! the signatures were so crisp but idk something got to me like "I WANT AN EXID ONE!!1!!!1!!" so at the end of the concert i swapped with someone for the exid one which i kinda regret because i technically didnt catch it but it was amazing anyway

now the saddest part: on monday i went to meet a friend in central. i was waiting outside bond street station (its next to oxford street aka biggest shopping street) and i notice this large korean group of people standing (like 12 people) and i noticed that i recognise some of them. it was very clear that 5 of them seem to be idols/in a group and rest were like staff. i try to think of who it might be. my first guess was knk and two of them really looked like the members but the other 3 didnt so i was like ??????? is another group in london????? i went on twitter to ask ppl if they know anyone in london rn and they were like take a photo but i couldnt because they were literally NEXT to me staring at me. so i stood there waiting for my friend for solid 15 mins and they just kind of left. today i saw pictures of knk on the tube and the boys i saw were literally knk. i stood right next to knk and didnt say anything omfg im so gutted now. now that i think about it it was kind of very obvious that it was them because inseong was literally STARING at me like "so you gonna realise or nah?", "come on im giving you hints here" etc. i have really bright pink hair so they probs recognised me from the concert. i cant believe i missed out on having a photo with them/meeting them ajdhjfdkjslkdhjf

Hi Omona! So far My webcomic project is going okay. I got two chapters scripted out and that's about 80 pages. So I think I'll be starting thumbnailing soon so I can draw some pages.

For the first time in a long time, I did an art request for someone a few days ago and now there are a bunch of people wanting request... I'm thinking of doing art commissions because if people like my art enough to request for it then someone's gotta be willing to pay, right? So I guess I'll b making use of my Etsy account again. And trying to post more on social media since I suck at anything that's not instagram atm.

This week I also told myself I'd try to cut down on the amount of sugar in my diet but omg I'm so weak... The first thing I did on monday was by 2 of those Lipton Brisk drinks, a bag of those mini powdered donuts, and then yesterday a quart of Hawaiian Punch... This is not going to be easy...

Hi, my nickname is Chick and I'm in sophomore year of high school (yes im an actual child ik) and I've been into kpop for about three-ish years now because I heard Growl and was super sh00k and was like "what is that,,,,,glorious music???" and anyways I got into seventeen soon afterwards because they just debuted and to this day I still get weird fluttery feelings whenever I hear Adore U rip im trash
I really really like K-Hip Hop as well as a lot of idol groups like SVT, EXO, BTS, MONSTA X, WINNER, BIG BANG, 2NE1 (rip), SISTAR (also rip), 4Minute (triple rip), BLACKPINK, Ladies Code, TWICE, DAY6, GOT7, EXID, etc. you get my drift
I like a lot of genres of music but outside of Kpop its all just electro, house, and lo-fi stuff
I'm selective and really picky with kdramas but I do watch a few lol and I like watching anime and stuff yeah
