From the official website:

"Save My Seoul follows two Korean-American brothers as they discover rampant prostitution and sex trafficking in Seoul, South Korea. With the use of hidden cameras and access to pimps, johns, and sex-workers, Eddie and Jason explore and unravel the complexity of the sex trade in Seoul. They learn that this problem is rooted in issues far deeper than lost girls and lustful men. Instead, it's a consequence of the broken Korean culture that turns a blind eye to and condones one of the biggest human injustices of our generation."

The film was recently made available on iTunes for rent and purchase. As fans of the culture and music, I think that it's only appropriate that we are aware of more aspects of South Korean culture. If this subject is of any interest to you, please check it out!

Thanks for posting this.

It's a big problem in the U.S., too. I think we're finally making some progress but it's baby steps.

i remember the first time i walked past a red light district in seoul - i was an exchange student at ewha and decided to walk to next subway station over (ahyeon station) to get some air and ended up walking past a block of bars with tinted glass doors and girls sitting inside in just lingerie. i was really shocked then that there would be a red light district right next to the country's largest women's university...

what worries me most about the sex trade in korea is whether the girls are able to protect themselves against diseases. i've met a lot of guys who try to insist on not wearing condoms, and while i'm in a position where i can either insist that they do or walk away, these girls likely don't have a choice to force the 'customers' to wear protection.

this looks vv exploitative and swerf-y. sex work and sex trafficking should not be conflated.
