Joo Hak Nyeon From “Produce 101 Season 2” Confirmed To Make Debut In New Boy Group

Joo Hak Nyeon will officially be making his debut!

On July 9, Cre.Ker Entertainment revealed, “After discussing the matter with Joo Hak Nyeon, we’ve come to the final decision to have him be a member of the new boy group we’re planning to debut within the year.”

The boy group is temporarily being called “Cre.Kerz” until an official group name is decided upon. With the announcement that Joo Hak Nyeon will be joining the group, it looks like “Cre.kerz” is kicking off their debut countdown.

An agency representative stated, “Since the end of ‘Produce 101 Season 2,’ Joo Hak Nyeon has been in talks with the agency to decide how he wants to debut and what direction he wants to take his career in. He has made the final decision to be a member of the upcoming group, and he’ll be going into various preparations to make his debut.”

Joo Hak Nyeon also stated, “I’m so happy to be joining ‘Cre.Kerz’ and having the opportunity to make my debut. Though I’m still very lacking, I hope to keep growing as a singer and repay the love and support I’ve received from the nation’s producers.”

Cre.Ker Entertainment has been releasing contents through various social media accounts under the name “Trainee-patch” that follows Cre.Ker trainees as they live their lives. The videos and images feature Seon Woo from Mnet’s “High School Rapper,” Young Hoon, who appeared in John Park’s “DND” music video, and other trainees as well.

Joo Hak Nyeon’s first “Trainee-patch” video as a member of “Cre.Kerz” will be released on July 10.

I think the name is a placeholder for them while they're still trainees like how NCT were in smrookies.

I also suspected that it was mediaplay but it's suspicious that they filmed the other boys' trainee paparazzi videos a while back but rushed to film Haknyeon's the day after fans started mass unfollowing after they denied his debut. I do think if Cre.Ker could have kept him out of the group they would.I'm just glad it's resolved because most Haknyeon fans I saw were excited for the other trainees until this mess happened.

Short form-this boy group is Cre.Kerz first and they're pulling out all the stops for them.They had a bunch of trainees who were given a lot of pre-debut exposure particularly Younghoon (he was in IOI's whatta man mv). Haknyeon was on track to being dropped from the company, he didn't make the lineup and they had initially rejected his request to go on PD101 until MNET called asking for a trainee and thy approved him to go 3 days beforehand. In short Haknyeon wasn't part of well-set plans for this group and Cre.ker doesnt seem happy that they now have to take him/his popularity into consideration and that he's eclipsed Younghoon as a center.

so they actually intended for haknyeon to flop on PD101? it doesn't make sense to me at all. why would they send him for promo if they have 'better' trainees? seems like a missed opportunity and a waste of time. unless younghoon is definitely top 11 material and they didn't want him in wanna one.

I'm kind of hoping this was some kind of mediaplay and they were actually in talks to have him join. If not I at least hope the other members aren't upset with him being added in.
Either way good for Haknyeon even though he annoyed me a bit during the show.

boy still has a long way to get better wth his skills, but he was not the worst one in the show at all. so unless these other boys are hidden gems or something, I really don't understand why they would even consider not putting him in the group with his p101 popularity. lol idk why but I'm stanning him even more now and I hope he gets even more popular (and we've more cute moments with the piglets)

if all these rumors about cre.ker and their upcoming group is true, then haknyeon really only has his fans to back him up, which makes me so sad. i just hope no one already chosen for the group resents him for getting in with his popularity if they really didn't want him to begin with, he's dealt with enough unjustified hate to last a lifetime.
