I don't see it as a bad thing for them to be expanding their market while it's early. People keep complaining, but they're going to be performing at some of the biggest fashion events in Japan, that's actually good for them.

If this was any other company I would agree
Like FNC did this for both FT and CNBlue and it worked really well. It worked wonders for DBSK
But YG has a very shitty track record when it comes to their japanese activities. And usually when YG send their group to Japan it's code for : I'm not that invested in your career.
That's why most people complain and worry

Not to mentionned jpn fans actually complained several times about YG (among others) not releasing original work in japanese. The reason FT/CNBlue and DBSK worked so well in Japan is because they had a different discograph there

Anything YG can do to increase his profits (even if it means shitty Japanese remakes and dome concerts just because) he will do. It's pathetic, because the company could easily invest in making songs tailored to their Japanese audience, and they clearly choose not to. The only artist they have who gets away with it would be BIGBANG/their members to an extent.But that's just YG, taking the easy way out.
