Choa Confirmed To Be Leaving AOA

On June 30, a source gave an update on Choa’s status as an AOA member.

The source confirmed that after discussions it was decided that Choa will leave AOA.

FNC Entertainment confirmed the news in their official statement. The agency stated, “We have decided to respect Choa’s opinion and she will be leaving AOA.”

The agency continued, “The members will greet fans through individual activities through a variety of fields. We ask for fans’ love and support.”

A source from FNC Entertainment confirmed that Choa will not cancel the scheduled fan signing event she has for a clothing brand on July 1.

Choa previously informed fans that she was leaving AOA on June 22. However, FNC denied that the decision had been made and discussions were ongoing. Choa also denied that she was leaving the group because of love or marriage.

it is a sad day for me.. i love choa so much and the girls loved her so much too .. :(

I'm just so relieved that FNC hasn't managed to guilt trip her into staying longer. I'm still sad of course but it's such an important step for her to take care of herself

As for AOA this might end up being the best thing to happen to Hyejeong - not that I think any of them are happy about this, even if they understand/support/respect it, but Hyejeong will actually get decent vocal parts as I'm sure she & Yuna will be splitting all of the Choa parts (I mean, it certainly won't be Mina or Chanmi LOLOLOLOL) so get in them vocal lessons ladies!

This is why more companies should work on building up a female fanbase for their ggs from the very beginning imo.

AOA is a super hit or miss group for me, and every time I thought they were hits it was cause of ChoA so... I'm tired of all my GGs I check for either going under or losing my interest. But I also don' bblame them for jumping ship.
