NCT 127 release new series 'BOY VIDEO' for Yuta, Jaehyun and Mark

The new series entitled BOY Video will bring short individual videos for each member to showcase their personality and charms through a natural, unscripted format. Most likely to be shot and released in threes with the YuJaeMark trio going first.

do you guys think nct is getting enough mainstream promo in korea? or is sm set on going the vlive/mini video route to attract international fans instead? i've noticed the fandom growing but a lot of people still can't stomach 127's style. i wonder if they're gonna get a boost with a mainstream track (their "growl" so to say) sometime in the future.

i think the overall promos for them are pretty good. like doyoung is on inkigayo, johnny is on lipstick prince, johnjae have their radios. they're ivy club and lotte models and for supercomma b too. they could use being on more popular variety but i think people need to get over some things before they can blow up. like the group concept which puts ppl off and them being a rap group given sm's rep.

idek if i want them to be more public friendly or stick with their sound bc it will catch on :( i'm leaning towards the latter rn, they're working too hard to go back on it

for entirely selfish reasons i'd like 127 to stick with their concept. but i doubt their style will ever truly be mainstream. sm could try and carve out a larger niche and release more mainstream songs thru dream or a vocal unit. but if sm's using 127 as the representative group of nct, you're right it's a lot for people to get over. even if taeil or doyoung appeared on a singing show, people would go ??? if they went online to check out nct's songs.

i think sm recently opened up vlive (and now youtube?) channels for nct 127? i wonder what's gonna happen to the other nct groups!

if yg can put out the same song a hundred times and it kills, why can't nct they really have everything >:
yeah, that + their own twitter, they're probably trying to set them apart as the alpha unit and make them more independent or sth to attract more people, make it easier to follow them. i don't really have doubts that they'll make it big tho
