I don't like the way the voices are mixed on this version. Most of them sound awful. Especially the japan line, my god. I stan Momo but her and Sana sound worse than normal. It doesn't help that their parts of the song are back to back.
(I have no illusions about Momo, I know she can't sing but damn. This really highlights that.)

i dont know why everyone is so surprised by how bad momo sounds...its not like she sounds all that great in the korean version either. mina and jihyo sound really cute
Whoever did these lyrics should be fired. There are so many words and syllables awkwardly chopped up or awkwardly held out to take up space, random non-sensical English even by Jpop standards that is only there to placehold beats and make writing the lyrics without thinking easier... it screams "Japanese sung by people who know nothing about the Japanese language" the minute you listen to it, like, you will never hear a Japanese group with this stilted enunciation and pronunciation LOL.
Releases like this are what turned the Japanese public against Kpop years ago - it's such an obvious cash in with minimal effort or respect put in. I miss when Japanese debuts were exciting.
I noticed that with the enunciation too. Like they're saying it correctly but it sounds like me when I first started learning Japanese vs now, knowing how syllables flow (ex. pronouncing suki like ski as opposed to su-ki)
I usually dislike these kind of remakes, the words doesn't fit with the designated space and I'm too used to the original version to think this flows ok. Though a few of them did well, especially Mina! But who ever processed their voices need to listen to this again... and again... and then dare saying it's allright lol. Momo is not the only one who sounds bad. Granted she's not a good singer in the first place but she can sound better than this.
They should fire whoever is adapting the songs because this and Signal have been pretty bad. I know it's challenging but damn, change the whole frigging song if that's what you need to make it as catchy as the Korean version. The girls sound good though (except you Momo, I love you but damn I just noticed singing is definitely not you forte).
I randomly started watching performances of this song (korean version obv lol) and it has grown on me, i especially love the choreo, this and like ohh ahh are probs my fave twice songs
what a great injustice done to their best song (after LOA)!!!! they sound so bored. dying at the fact that they changed neomuhae to yamete lmao this is pretty neat if it was actually done on purpose

again, it sounds like the audio's been chopped up and there are bits from the original korean version right next to the new japanese bits (japanese, then "bay-bay-bay-baby from korean ver, more japanese, and then the "fashion show, show" from the orig korean, for example), and it sounds very twitchy and uneven, like don't cut these very tiny corners, just record all of it fresh! plus once again it sounds like the backing track has been turned way up to compensate for quiet vocals, and just. gosh. they aren't doing very well by these girls
it's cute they did a new video for it but i quite liked the storyline of the original. this isn't bad though! just let down by how unsure and weak their vocals sound here, and bad sound editing. :C
the mv is sooooo cute. who are they signed to in japan? bc they are dropping the ball sound production wise. jype puts little to no effort into twice's music production either but still.
