On the season finale that aired on June 16, Samuel Kim ended in 18th place, unfortunately not making it into the final group Wanna One. With his unexpected elimination, viewers have been especially curious about his future plans.
Before the final episode, Brave Brothers, the head of his agency Brave Entertainment, revealed to a media outlet, “If Samuel Kim does not make it into the top 11, he will immediately begin preparations for a solo debut. He has already completed recording 10 tracks. They are public-friendly, pop-like tracks with boyish vibes that sound like half Chris Brown and half Justin Bieber.” (OP note: ewwwww) He added, “It is an album that the Brave producers have been working hard on for a long time for Samuel Kim. He is a guy that can stir up the world.”
Son Dong Myung, who participated in “Produce 101 Season 2,” will be make his official debut very soon!
On June 16, his agency RBW Entertainment said, “Son Dong Myung, who was known for his innocent and childlike character on ‘Produce 101 Season 2,’ will be joining the band MAS and is preparing to debut in the second half of this year.”
MAS consists of talented members who gained experience through busking on the streets and live performances since before their debut. They appeared on SBS MTV’s “The Show” last year and with the addition of Son Dong Myung to the band, they will be starting anew.

Songs by group NU’EST are climbing back up to the charts!
Although many fans of NU’EST were disappointed with the top 11 results of “Produce 101 Season 2,” it seems like there is still a silver lining. At 7 a.m. KST on June 17, NU’EST’s “Hello” took the top spot on the realtime Genie music charts, 2nd on Bugs, and 3rd on Melon. This is significant since this song was released in February 13, 2013.
Not only that, but their other songs including “Love Paint,” “Daybreak,” “Thank you,” and “Look” are also gaining attention once more.
On June 17, following the finale of “Produce 101 Season 2,” Mnet uploaded the wrong photo of the final 11 on their official Facebook page.
Shortly after, they addressed the mistake and said, “We would like to apologize for the photo that was uploaded on June 17 at 3:20 a.m. KST, which confused many people. The incorrect photo was a sample image that was previously made. We will fix the mistake immediately, and from now on, we will be more careful with the content we post on this page.”

I'm having nightmares of what could possibly be happening down there, like "I told you boys that unless 2 of you made it into the Top 11 I'd be disbanding you" or some other crap. I sincerely hope they're just waiting until Monday to release an official statement that after a bit of a rest from the intense filming schedule for Produce101, and after the July 1 concert, Jonghyun/Minki/Dongho will be producing stuff as a subunit very soon (Aron optional).
Still dealing with the angst/disbelief of Jonghyun not making it in, but otherwise I'm very excited for Wanna One. All of my faves (except for Jonghyun) made it in so I'm trying not to dwell too much.

Date: 2017-06-17 05:56 pm (UTC)it's interesting to see how companies are reacting to quickly as compared to last season, when some of the top 11 still haven't officially debuted. i hope yuehua boys, rbw, and samuel all do well with their groups/solos, and we'll see if riding the hype from p101 so quickly will have an effect! tbh i wouldn't be surprised if some other companies are waiting it out just to let the other companies test the waters first in order to see how it goes
echoing all the other comments on hoping that pledis treats nu'est well/promotes them properly. i think i'd prefer a nu'est subunit as 4 including aron since the other boys are clearly close to him and even though i don't know him that well, hopefully he's changed for the better since then.
also worried about the rest of the mmo boys :-// my dream is for fantagio to buy out all their contracts so after wanna one is done promoting, they can all debut with ongniel intact and become the cool/mature group to contrast astro.
