Han Seo Hee, who was previously revealed to be the trainee, has been sentenced to four years of probation with the possibility of a three-year prison sentence if she commits a repeat offense during her probation period. The Seoul Central District Court also ordered 120 hours of drug rehab and a fee of 870,000 won (approximately $770).

The bench stated, “She purchased psychotropic drugs LSD and marijuana many times and used/smoked them. She even purchased marijuana again while she was being investigated. She has admitted to her crimes and is remorseful. The fact that she does not have a prior criminal record was taken into consideration.”

Han Seo Hee was previously indicted for smoking marijuana with T.O.P twice in October 2016. They have also been accused of smoking liquid marijuana through an electronic cigarette twice. Reports stated that she brought the marijuana she purchased to T.O.P’s home to smoke together. She also was accused of purchasing LSD on two separate occasions.

Meanwhile, T.O.P’s first trial will take place on June 29.

The judge for the case stated that Han has previously been known to police in regards to purchasing and drinking alcohols, smoking as a minor and even after this has purchased marijuana. The judge continues even after her initial reflection for her crimes committed as a first time offender, he took into consideration her motives as well as age before declaring her sentencing. Prosecutors have indicted Han for allegedly smoking marijuana 4 times between October 9th to 4th at T.O.P’s home in Yongsan. Han’s participation in this scandal was found after the investigation of drug dealer, where her activities of smoking marijuana with T.O.P was noticed. The main difference between Han and T.O.P’s cases is that Han had purchased the marijuana.

She purchased weed again while she was being ivestigated? Bitch bye.

Snitches, get lighter sentences as long as they reflect. Honestly, her sentence is appropriate for weed tbh.

I hope TOP gets leniency and he can move on with his self care and military service so he can get the fuck outta there.

Right? I've been loving you in these posts. I'm a BB fan but the attitude TOP fans have had towards this scandal is ridiculous. Like he's not a child. The fact he was on social media the other day says he dgaf about being caught

From: [identity profile] dirkismyhomeboy.livejournal.com
What attitude would that be? Most TOP fans acknowledge that he broke the law and he should take his punishment accordingly. Just because we don't think he should be thrown to the bottom of the jail, is that a problem?

aw, thank you :)
seriously, i don't understand why all of a sudden a male millionaire, who's one of the biggest k-celebrities at the moment, is suddenly some misunderstood victim. and suggesting that authorities should stop being so mean and let him be, as if they don't already close their eyes on whatever rich men do, jesus... i feel so sorry for him that minor consequences for his illegal actions inconvenience him, SAD! and then comes in the "let's just assume he has some mental disorder and let him do whatever he wants to do" squad, who was just accusing ga in of using her (officially reported) mental health issues as an excuse to avoid following the police order. hmmmmmm, i wonder what the difference between these two people is...........

IA. And tbh 99% of these ppl wouldn't give a shit if it's some nobody fat and ugly Korean dude or even a female Korean celeb. Like I don't see half these people in posts about mental health in SK. There was a lot of disgusting prejudice and bigoted comments from TOP fans against Korean culture about their stance on drugs and mental health recently.

TOP has always had problems with substance abuse and mental health, but aren't people conveniently forgetting his blatant misogyny, his criminal friends and the rumors about him harassing Shin Min Ah after their breakup? Being a person who's thought about suicide twice in my past, I know what it's like to be in that place, but that doesn't mean he needs to be coddled so much by fans or the justice system.

Some other member made a post about how TOP should get over this scandal quickly so he can go eat his "fancy food" somewhere in peace like really???

I would feel this way about anyone in this predicament. I don't think you need to ail someone heavily for smoking weed.

Date: 2017-06-16 06:51 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mmmalvina.livejournal.com
is there any indication that he's being ailed heavily though? you just said that the authorities should be lenient towards him, despite the fact that he's committed a crime, to let him "move on." as if there's any reason to do so? as if they don't already ignore rich men's problematic behavior?

I mean, based on her sentence, and other idols who have gotten probation and a fine, I hope they are lenient in that way. I don't think it's fair to make an example f people. And I'd have the same sentiment if it's TOP or whoever in any other group.

Do you even have to pay the full amount in Korea? Bc in the states like with bail you dont have to pay the full bail amount. Somebody could have a bail amount of 5000 but they only have to pay an small percentage like a few hundred to get out.

Date: 2017-06-16 03:46 pm (UTC)

I thought the 870,000 won was a fine though, not bail.

It is. Sometimes you dont have to pay the full amount for fines either. It can get bumped to a lesser amount if you behave during probation.

I had a Korean acquaintance who spent 6 months in jail for buying weed. I thought Korea was really hardcore when it came to drug related cases but if this girl just got probation for LSD and weed I wonder wtf did this guys do. Probably not having any connections and being poor as a rat.

What does probation mean? Like house arrest? In any case, I feel like this is a heavier punishment for first time-convicted drug users. In our country they don't really get jail time the first time and are forced to go to rehab instead. Curious how TOP's case will be.

Date: 2017-06-16 05:43 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] kyokomurasaki.livejournal.com
not sure about other countries, but in the US it means you have to report to a police officer each month and submit to random drug tests (if you're found guilty of a drug offence, idk if everyone on probation does) and usually pay a fine. If you violate any of the terms of your probation, they lock you up. So if she's on probation and she gets caught using again she'll go to jail.

Isn't her family well off? I know rich people in Korea who have paid off their military service. Anything is possible with money. TOP is not going to be able to pull that because he's taking on Ygs load with all the retroactive cases. I'm sure YG knows that because all of the sudden his faves are rebranding themselves and are ignoring TOP's existence completely.

Girl why would you omg. Also, I fee like I'm in the minority on Omona (and probably other places too lmao) but I don't think drug use should be criminalized (although it shouldn't be encouraged either). When you criminalize it, you risk so many people not getting help and increase the stigma on it (even though most people who are addicted have so many other problems which they usually try to cover WITH drugs). Maybe it's because I have a sister and a male friend addicted to drugs and both have abuse in their history and they try to cover that up with drug use. Jail legit does nothing. You don't get rehabilitated (unless your jail is an actual rehabilitation) because US jails/prisons are so fucking useless and only lock you up but don't actually treat you. You're just going to go through a terrible detox and then go back out and do drugs again. Rehab isn't a 100% guarantee but it would be miles better than sticking them in a jail. I feel different about people who sell drugs though (although even that can get murky because I know some kids in the inner city who sold for bigger drug dealers because their family was dirt poor and they needed the money).

thankfully my guy friend is (he's been clean 2 years this july :D) but not my sister :/ and she may be about to go to jail b/c they found cocaine in her system :( I never even realized she was on drugs until a few years ago b/c she seemed so put together. Great job, great marriage, kids doing well, etc. Then her husband left her and took the kids and my family finally told me why. They hid this from me for like 8 years yo. She's only gotten worse too and I think she's addicted to opiates too :/ sometimes I really do fear I'm going to get a phone call telling me she's OD'ed. It's so scary tbh :/

thanks for asking though <3

There are two sides to this issue though:
my sister is a meth addict and I'm raising her 5 year old son because the law decided she couldn't/shouldn't (I agree) and she is homeless, in and out of jail, etc.

I don't necessarily think she cares about consequences but at least when she's in jail we know she's alive and not dead somewhere.

I know the attitude towards marijuana is lax but when you're talking about lsd or any other drugs like meth or heroin sometimes there's not an easy solution.

Date: 2017-06-17 03:00 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] heyitsrocky91.livejournal.com
My issue is with jail though and not necessarily being detained. In the US, Jail is pretty much useless. There is no rehabilitation and it's basically a way to keep you detained until they release you to go do whatever crimes you committed before (our repeat offender stats are way higher than most other countries). Also, as a black person in the US, my people are more likely to be locked up for drug offenses than white people so that's another issue. Crack cocaine was basically deposited in black neighborhoods. I'm not saying that they shouldn't be detained, but jail itself (in the US I mean) is not a good solution.

That's absolutely heartbreaking. Bless you for looking after that little boy.

As someone mentally ill who relies on a lot of prescription stuff to stay sane, including tranquillisers, I wish your sister was in hospital getting help, not in jail. There but for the grace of God (and Australia's decent medical system) go I.
