Facebook posted this picture of Jay Park at game 4 of the NBA finals in Cleveland.

Comments started flooding in under the picture, making very sweeping generalizations of Asians and just... terrible things.







Now if you go to the picture, most highly liked comments are people trying to explain who Jay Park is. He also went to twitter to thank the fans who are defending him on facebook.

All the comments make me angry. First there were the unwarranted comments about him being Asian but then when you look at the REPLIES to those comments, the replies resort to being racist. One guy was Mexican so the replies to him were crap about building a wall / Trump / Mexican stereotypes. One guy was maybe Arabic origin (who knows) but one of the replies to him, in fact the reply with the most upvotes, says "Nader can you warn us before the next London attack bruv? Cheers" WTF. I mean yes, these racist comments are not welcome but why do you have to fight racism with more racism??

Earlier this month I took my son with me to PHX because I had some business there, I always try to speak to him in Spanish because even though we mostly live in Mexico we speak English at home. Anyway some racist trash heard me and start yelling at me that I should learn English if I wanted to live there and that I should go back "to my country" instead of living from the government and america's money (I was at the bank and he saw I had a check with me).

I was SO angry I was SHAKING, Just writing about it makes me want to cry.

But had to keep it together because he was making my son upset. I told him my son could understand all the crap he had just yell at us, that he had no respect and that I was born and raised in America just like my parents, husband and children. But I wanted to say so much more, at this point I am so done with all the racists assholes being out in the open so freely, and iI'm so tired of having to take the high road with them.

I respect Jay for being able to handle it like that , because personally i am fucking done with all this shit.
