Jackson's new Pepsi advertisement was leaked showing him sporting dreads/twists, his fans then took to his latest instagram post to inform and educate him about why it's considered cultural appropriation, this was his response:

when his fans asked if he was forced to wear the hairstyle, Jackson said this:

Jackson, you fucked up. That is like one of the worst way to respond to this issue.

I'm very surprised by his tone I this tbh, I've never heard him talk like this and it's shocking to me somehow. I think he does have love for all races/people, but he's completely ignorant to appropriation (which I naively thought he had a clue about but ok not then) and choosing to be this defensive about this when called out is just... man, I was rooting for you. I didn't think you were perfect but that you'd always take responsibility for your action and wanna do the good thing. What is this? He's had a lot of people attacking him from time to time for weird non-existent reasons on his social media and this guy reads his comments so this is prob some tipping point he's reached and now he's decided on that "fuck haters" mentality and it's just soooo... missing the point completely. I think he's quite a sensitive person and becoming an idol was a rough path for him. But he's handling the "hate" in a wrong way. This is just such a tone-deaf response from Jackson of all people, and I'm speechless.

These guys are so active on social media but they seem to have no training in how to use it as celebrities, coupled with no training in cultural appropriation (which tbh what happened to that cultural sensitivity training JYPE) and at this point maybe they should be put on those training camps asap and/or maybe restrict their social media. I'm worried about the influences they get and how they're handling all of this. Jeezus this is tiring sometimes.
