This is YG Entertainment.

We want to apologize to everyone who has been disappointed and hurt by the series of horrible events recently that involved T.O.P.

According to the hospital briefing, T.O.P was transferred to the emergency room at Ehwa University Mokdong Hospital on June 6 after losing consciousness at the 4th Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

We hope that T.O.P regains his health as soon as possible.

Us, YG, have a sense of responsibility we need to take for what happened. We fell short of everyone's expectations, we will accept the fan's reprimands with a heavy heart. We will also do our best to prevent similar problems from occuring in the future.

Once again, we would like to apologize to everyone we have worried.

YG Entertainment has just issued an official apology on behalf of TOP. Below is the transcription of that apology:

"To all of those who were disappointed and hurt by this series of disgraceful events surrounding TOP, we deeply apologize.

As was stated in the official hospital briefing yesterday, TOP – who fell unconscious on June 6 at the dorms of the Seoul Metropolitan Police 4th precinct and was brought to the Ehwa Mokdong University Hospital emergency room in Seoul and then moved to the intensive care unit – is currently receiving his third day of treatment.

We hope that TOP will regain his health as quickly as possible.

We at YG feel strongly that we should take responsibility for this. For not being able to meet your expectations, with a heavy heart we accept the blame. From now on, we will try our hardest so that nothing like this ever happens again.

We apologize once again for causing so many people distress."

I want statements from the members, I know they are close and they are going to be at his side, but why aren't they speaking out and if they aren't allowed to why won't YG let them? Is he going to isolate them like the situ with Bom?

I understand wanting to hear from them, but why do they need to make a statement? This is a very sad, personal, and horrifying experience for them. I am sure they are showing support in ways that aren't going to create a media frenzy.

What do you even expect them to say? They could post #staystrongtop, but why do they need to do that for public consumption? Even if they say something, how do you expect netizens to respond to anything they do? Nothing they say will be good enough. People will accuse them of supporting a criminal, accuse them of being attention seekers, and in general try their best to tear them apart in any way they can. I think staying quiet is a smart move, if not only for their own mental well being in this situation.

Honestly, I'm glad they did this. This was an absolute crapshow on everyones part. I still won't keep updated unless it's from the doctors or an official statement released like this.

I get why they might want to stay quiet, but with everything that has happened in the last 2 days, it was absolutely appauling how YG as a company handled it. I get Big Bang not commenting, I get everything else- but YG as a company should have released a statement with a brief and succinct press release to put all the sensationalist headlines to rest.

Yonhap did an article on how Yg crisis management sucked and listed how badly the Gd and Bom cases were handled. It was like legit criticism, it wasn't trying to bash the company but stating facts. You don't even have to be a fan of a YG artist to know that Yg's biggest fault has always been its media play and lack of proper PR. I know people still remember how he used to brush off things like, it's none of our business, we don't get involved in our artists personal lives/they have mental issues that's why they are gone etc. I remember Seungri was in the ICU again like a month after his car accident and nobody knew anything. Anyway, I read it on a Big Bang news site, and I swear that every fucking comment in there was like DON'T COME AFTER YG FAMILY, PAPA YG IS TRYING HIS BEST.

I thought we were over this since he broke up 2ne1. Like when the fuck did he start having stans again, is it because of blackpink and Ikon? Like are they pretending Bom never existed? I'm so confused at the reactions. Where the fuck did these "fans" come from.

I guess they had to release something since their statements have been so different than the police's statements (though closer to the doctors...). But the wording and the timing (after a bunch of infos about GD's solo) are so wrong.

Maybe I'm just an optimist in these situations (and a pessimist in everything else heh) but I really do think he will get better. The doctors predicted about a week or more in the hospital so patience and well wishes are key right now
