I downloaded the dice app and excused myself momentarily at work the minute those tickets dropped. I'm going alone but who cares, I'm seeing Dean and i'm sooooo pumped!
Like Dean boy I like you but I need to book a train, hotel, like honey this takes time
This was me when I first heard about the UK shows but replace the train with plane tickets. I made peace with not seeing him now but then he announced the Berlin and Paris dates today and I find it hard to look at his face.
It's rude tbh Also I'm not sure coming in the middle of the baccalauréat exam is a good idea unless he's going for an older audience. Like I would go, but planning the trip to Paris is gonna be a mess, I don't have that time nor money in a two week notice
edit: take that back, the baccalauréat should be finished so good timing actually. Too soon, but yeah
I feel like it was literally last minute because there was a lot of demand for other countries after he announced the UK dates (I asked for other countries as well but I mentioned for later in the year) like who announces a concert two weeks before it's happening? I'm recovering from attending a wedding in another country and I also have a trip planned a week before the concerts so there's no way I can go. Aren't his shows usually 19+? I don't know why I have this impression.
who announces a concert 2 weeks in advance? i wouldn't have mind paying travel costs to see him, but trying to book plane/train/accommodation and getting time off work two weeks in advance is almost impossible
To be fair, the UK shows were announced last month and only the Berlin and Paris shows were announced today. For me, even a month in advance is short notice because of the traveling. I could go to the Berlin show but I can't take any more time off this month.
ah thanks for clarifying, then i should (partially) blame myself for not keeping up. but as you said, a month in advance is a challenge to put it lightly, especially when the concert is during the week and not in a weekend :(
a friend of mine who works at a local concert hall told me a while ago that dean's management was negotiating to come here but decided for cologne instead, so i was a bit surprised at first that he's performing in berlin now. i was secretly hoping for cologne because it's closer to where i live.
Woop this should be interesting. Another user above said they went with Cologne instead of Berlin but the poster says Berlin. I saw that Cult of Ya organized many khiphop/krnb concerts before so they aren't newbies so this is confusing.
Either the other act has cancelled the show and they're still figuring out logistics for tickets and stuff or they gave the wrong venue/date. Why rush and announce a couple of shows last minute when you can book the venues in advance and come at a later date with plenty of time for people to plan their trips?
Ok so I checked the other act and there's no news of a cancellation on his facebook page with the concert announced last month so I guess Cult of Ya made a mistake.
2 weeks is not enough to make a mistake (especially around la fête de la musique, nobody got time for that) Dean should come later, like september, when I can go to Paris, that seems fair
