This show was garbage.
What happened to plotline they were trying to set up about Seol's dad being the one who rescued Se-Joo from whatever? Or how they just dropped the plotline with Taemin's nutty mama?
The ending was kinda wack too, but it was better than what I thought they would do (reincarnate Jin Oh as Seol and Se-Joo's son).
Soo hyun is the worst assassin ever, she was talking ppl to death in the last episode.
Why did the weirdo publisher hide on the floor near Se-Joo's bed? Did I miss something, cuz it doesn't look like he tripped.
But I liked Taemin telling his mom to STFU.

Basically, shows like this are why I advocate for pre produced shows: the 1930s set looked terrible and it looked like they never leftg their neighborhood (which is wild since they're soldiers/activists) and some of the plotholes needed to be worked out before going to air (there was too much going on at some points, and a lot of dragging at other points). Even the romance felt arupted compared to other Kdramas.
Whatever, I'm glad to be finished.

Also, I stand by my previous statement that the stalker (who's plot went NOWHERE!) was brought in because the writer(s) wrote themselves in a corner with the plotline about Taemin's mom.

Episode 15 was everything and the takeout of everyone in Episode 16 was so satisfying and heartbreaking. Just so emotional and breathless.

I didn't care for the kidnapping plot line and wished there was more focus on the literary world and writing the story in the current time, nevertheless, CT was a really solid drama. It's one of the few that kept a steady crescendo with each episode. I wish more dramas could not end with a whimper with their storytelling.

It felt like the show had gone a little off track with episodes 13 and 14 but these last two really brought it back. I cried like a baby when Hwi Young's ghost/spirit/whatever visited Soo Hyeon and then again during the next episode for like all of Shin Yul's scenes. They really delivered with this finale. I was entranced by this show from beginning to end and it's definitely going down as one of my favorites.

Nitpicks: Hwi Young shot himself in the head and then had time before he died to pull Soo Hyeon's picture out of his pocket, stare at it, and say 'I miss you' or whatever. That seems like a bit much. Also, Go Kyung Pyo, bless his heart, is terrified of guns which is hilarious in the bts clips but you can see him flinch on the show when Shin Yul shoots. Poor thing.

I agree with the user above me that episodes 13 and 14 weren't very good - they dragged a bit and the plot was pretty unconvincing imo. But episodes 15 and 16 were great, they were fast-paced and emotional and the ending was great. Idk, overall I really liked the drama though there were some weird/illogical things lol (for example Hwi Young shooting himself and then taking Soo Hyeon's picture out of his pocket was unnecessarily melodramatic imo).

Some plot points were left really undeveloped too like Taemin's mom and what he did to Se Ju. Like, I think it was mentioned in like one episode that she was mentally ill and has even been in instutution at some point but nothing more about that. And Seol's dad was really underused too, I feel like they were setting him up for being more prominent in the story but just abandoned the idea at some point.
