Guys I just spent the last 16 waking hours marathoning the released 8 episodes of Produce 101 season 2 and I was not expecting to like the show at all??? I was convinced I was going to drop it after the first episode cause I usually have no patience for reality shows, but I am ALL OVER THIS.

Jonghyun and Jaehwan for life though I'm surprisingly loving lots of the boys that have made it through and so glad that all the messiness of the scandals prior to the show even airing haven't spread to my babies (don't pop my bubble please, I'm enjoying my ignorance). (I mean I know peripherally about some stuff but goddamn I have been in Kpop too long to deal with some of this salt laden drama.)

Also to those mad about 3/4 of Nu'Est making it into the top 11, I'm just going to sit here and pray that my boy Choi Minki somehow shoves his way in just so the haters really have something to choke on. Get it boys!!! Feel success for once!!! Let me cackle in glee!!! (But I will settle for Kind!Empathetic!Compassionate!Flawless Kim Jonghyun taking ultimate centre)

I saw Wonder Woman last night! It was so good! I'm apprehensive about fictional period films (especially war films) but it was so good! Gal Gadot is incredible.



BONUS! The theater was full of nothing but straight women and LGBT people so it was really a celebration. I haven't smiled so much during a film since I saw The Incredibles.

I posted a long ass comment on ontd about my thoughts that I'm just pretty much gonna copy paste here


I very much appreciated the male objectification scene with chris pine in the beginning :D actually, chris pine was really attractive throughout the entire movie - not to mention really good at acting! I've never seen any of his stuff and I was very much impressed, to my surprise - especially towards the end when things are getting emotional. I honestly want to watch it again just for his last scene.
ugh the training scenes with amazons were amazing ugh their bodies ugh agh mmmph
I mean it's a very solid movie, I don't watch a ton of movies enough to critique it on a deeper level but everything was solid, the cinematography and the acting and the visuals etc.

gal was perfect for wonder, as I expected. the action scenes are solid, man I love her kicks. and when she uses the lasso, the shield, and the sword - oh man oh man oh man, I was bursting out of my seat. some people complained about how there were so many slow motion effect during the action scenes but I'm for it, it really highlights the posture and muscles on actors' body before they land the punch or kick and makes them look much more powerful in delivery. acting-wise I think she could've done better, I loved the character but felt like gal felt a bit too stoic with her lines at times.

I also liked that the supporting characters weren't one-dimensional and they themselves represent different issues that mattered in that time period, like racism and sexism etc. I mean I guess some people could think they are just throwaway lines or sjw pandering but whatever, they're at least acknowledging that these issues were there.
I want to discuss the film with other people and gush over those muscles on amazons' arms and abs ugh I also want to watch it again as soon as I can but since I'm home and my family frowns upon seeing or doing something twice I probably can't :/ Anyway, with or without me I hope it slays the box office so hard.

Hi Omona! How was everyone's week?

I've reached a new phase in my Korean studying. I started playing Pokemon Heart Gold in Korean. I had attempted to start with the Sims 3(changed my settings to Korean) but I got intimidated by all the Korean text. Surprisingly I understood a lot of the Pokemon game with not much trouble though. I still have to look up a lot of words though. And I did attempt the Sims again and it was easier than I thought since there's a lot of everyday actions you need to perform. I guess the initial text scared me away. But I'm having fun since I can actually play instead of just study all the time now.

I suppose a next step would eventually be reading news articles or something/trying to watch things without subs but I'm not ready yet and I still need a lot of listening practice.

I'm also trying to figure out at what point I should attempt to learn another language along side Korean because French is another language I'd like to learn and Japanese as well.

What is your mother tongue, English? As a French native, it's not easy to learn, though easier coming from a latin language (like Spanish or Romanian). Though you'll certainly be able to easily find supports/classes for French + French-speaking people to talk to

Ia about Paris accord, I'm super pissed too. I've seen the number of countries who aren't in the accord and... let's just say that it shines a really bad light on the US. I can't understand how so many people in US politics are straight up denying climate change or choosing to not acknowleged it for their fuel-based companies. We're talking about the future of OUR planet.
I wonder if one of Trump's reasons for pulling out is because he feels threatened/not respected by European leaders (especially Macron and Merkel). Affect and the way people behave with him seems to be a big reason for his political decisions (cf: FBI) but that's a pretty dangerous mindset to have in diplomacy.

Hi everyone! Hope you had an amazing week

I had a lot of fun in London last weekend! not everything was ideal (... lots of delays lmao) but the weather was so hot with just a little bit of wind to make it bareable, I've never seen London with this weather and it was really enjoyable (apart from the tube but hey it sucks no matter the season).
Harry Potter Studios were incredible too, we spent 5 hours in there lol
ALSO WE SAW TOM HARDY. I'm still fangirling about that, forget how he looks on pictures, he's 100% hotter in real life, pfiou. We didn't interract with him because he was minding his own business but he must have noticed the stares lol #sorrynotsorry.

Back to interesting but super stressful and busy work days, I'm already looking forward to the next holidays TT

Hope people are giving some attention to my babies April because their single is super cute. It's diverting me a little bit from the pain of loosing Sistar, it might sound stupid but I totally cried watching their stages yesterday. I'm so glad that they have a proper send-off with promotions, good relationships between each other and a lot of fun (the summer jams performance) but I'm going to miss them so much TT

i still havent told my parents that i dropped out of university. i spent the week at home and had plenty of chances but i just.... couldnt :/ idk i mean they wont kill me for sure but its still a huge thing. im going back today and wont see them for the next few weeks. maybe i should sent them a letter? i also told my mum about my depression years ago with a letter because i couldnt say it to her directly.

in better news my internship starts tuesday!!! yaaaaay im so excited ^_____^

I think you should write a letter anyway (not even to send), if only to get some your anxiety/apprehension about telling them on to paper. Not as serious, but I tend to shut away from texting friends back because "I'll leave it until later" then forget, then it turns into a month or more and there's a part of me that just can't bring myself to type (f anxiety lol). So what I do is write down what I want to say, and it helps to clear my head a lil so I'm not constantly going over ifs and buts internally. It gives me a set idea of what I want say really, don't know if it'll help but I guess it might be worth a try?

I'll be going through my first actual exam period in mid-June after going back to school. I'm getting somewhat nervous, plus the weather is already too hot here and i can't concentrate dammit!

I'm also so bummed they canceled Sense8 as well.
It took so long to air season 2, and now they cancel it with so many unanswered questions, ugh. At least give us another 2hr special to wrap things up, like the Christmas one.

Anyways, i have Wonder Woman to look forward to, and also Skam, they better turn things around and allow Sana some happiness.

I'm FINALLY done with working in a school. It was a trip to gonna lie. I don't know how it is with other schools but it's not an environment I really wanna work with again. Since funding is so low teachers have a very every man for himself kind of mindset and it's not pleasant.

I'm free though and I skipped right out of that school as soon as I turned in my keys. I booked my flight for NY and I'm working more hours at my other job so my summer is pretty much off to a good start. I REALLY need to get back into my work out routine. And change my eating habits. Wish me luck because I'm weak lol.

The Blue Angels are going to be here again. I love fast planes. it also helps that we live by an air Base and get to hear the planes was anyways.

BTS Festa is going strong... its Bangtanmas! the BTS Home Party is going to be fun! a PJ party. my kind of party.. I have to decide if I should get up early and shower and put makeup on before it starts cause I dunno if I have time afterwards... decisions.

my sister and i bought tickets to go to mexico city, and we booked our airbnb (it looks so pretty but it has no windows which is like :/. there is a part where the middle of the apartment has sun light coming through so its not so bad)

it was funny how right after we bought tickets our parents stopped fighting.

i took a break from commenting + reading here so much and it was super nice, tbh. i think i might consume too much media which is weird but like, whatever!

i filled out an app for subbing in my city's school system and i'm so excited to start. my cori is set already bcus i've been working with kids and it's only been a yr & a half since i got it done so basically i'm just waiting for an email back. cus i've only been in college for a yr i can't do substitute teaching but i can sub for paraprofessionals & it's $68.50 a day (!!! not bad 4 someone w/o a degree) w/o taxes being taken out... 3 days subbing is like, more than half of my old paycheck

mx's coming back 9 days before my bday too so... i'm excited abt that. if i buy an album hopefully it gets here for my bday

Yes I agree about the break from media thing. It isn't until you step away that you realize how petty all of this is and it doesn't matter IRL. In fact, I've always felt the internet has strong negative sides with 1)people comparing their lives to each other (because so many internet stunt. Bow Wow challenge is nothing new), 2) the internet can be toxic because it's easier to say shit behin (d the safety of a computer than to say it IRL (a lot more hateful remarks) and 3) Information online isn't vetted like information in books (publisher's aren't going to drop a lot of coin to print false bs).

Sometimes I wonder if life would be more enjoyable without it. More productive for sure.

Anyways I just started a job too last week at a casino! In fact I started a mall job a week before this one and quit the mall job when I got the offer at the casino. I get paid meals and the company has a free buffet line in the lunchroom. The thing that sucks is that my shift starts at 7 and I have to answer high volume calls (like sometimes calls come in 4 at a time and more through a radio) while directing a team of 50 housekeepers to clean through about 300 hotel rooms.

Oh well, I have some more interviews as a deputy clerk and a Private Investigator's assistant.

I start a new job next week and the part I'm most nervous about is waking up for it. I tried to maintain a respectable sleep schedule through unemployment, but it really got screwed over last weekend when my family visited for a wedding and we essentially stayed up and drank for 4 days straight. I'm struggling to even stay awake and it's like noon rn.

is anyone active on kpop stan twitter? I recently made a separate account (@taengoodness if anyone's interested lmao) to check what it's all about and that shit is intense. I feel much too old among the lot of them but I'm living for the jokes they come up with. I'd like to follow more people who aren't complaining about their high school issues...
