i was ready to write off this song because of that beginning with "rapping" as i could only wonder why she always sounds so nasal but then even before the song hit 1min mark - it went off. i love it, very 80s (that 'trouble' line also reminded me of "hoot" so it was extra cute). i never expected hyo to go in this direction but it's great. mv is very bland tho, i wish they showed choreo properly at least.
Oh man, as a Hyo stan I admit this was a hot mess. The only things I liked about this are the chorus and the ending where she looked gorgeous dancing in the black outfit. I'm disappointed at her rap (I was hoping she'd just sing and leave the rapping to SanE. No one in SNSD can rap to save their lives :/), the lackluster choreo and the mediocre MV with no story (but yay for diversity by including black men).
I knew the teaser sounded too good to be true. Her SM Station, Mystery, remains the better bop where I instantly loved everything about it minus her rap (again).
the hair, the black people as props in the background, the dabbing, the awful rapping, the disjointedness of the verses and chorus. and whatever san e said after the feminism line was probably offensive giving that he had to preface with "you know i'm a feminist." i'm so let down lmao. i was looking forward to this after mystery too :/
lmao the juxtaposition of the hair and the black ppl as props was so predictable. "Yeah we'll pay these black guys $40 to stand in the bg but we gotta get us some actual Koreans with fake hair to do the real job for the real money."
the chorus is not that bad but what's even that rapping? it threw me off from the moment the mv started, also I only liked that last scene of the mv with her dancing in the boxing ring (also the only good-looking outfit in my opinion)
I love her but her solos are terrible. At least she looked hot in that Maxstep song even though it was also terrible lol Why don't they let her sing? IDGI
